Mrs. Lloyd Hunter Mrs. Lloyd (Nina) Hunter, 82. of Ligonier and mother of Mrs. Charles (Eleanor) Price of Syracuse, died Wednesday morning in the Goshen Hospital Mrs. Hunter was bom July 25, 1894, in Noble County to John and Eleanor (Lamb) Frick. She married Lloyd Hunter who preceded her in death in 1938. A resident of Ligonier for 38 years, Mrs. Hunter was a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Ligonier United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her daughter, Mrs. Price, are five other daughters, Mrs. Robert (LaVeme) Inks of Long Island. N. Y., Mrs. Mary Renner of Ligonier. Mrs Walter (June) Klausmg of Peoria. 111., and Mrs. Robert (Lois) Snoberger of Ligonier; one son. Lloyd Hunter, Jr., of Fort Myers. Fla ; 25 grandchildren, and 47 greatgrandchildren Three sons preceded her in death Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Werk-er-Orr Funeral Home in Ligonier. Rev. William Luttrull officiated. Burial was in the Sloan Cemetery, near Topeka Emler Dennison Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home in Warsaw for Emler L. Dennison. 69, of Warsaw and father of Mrs. Paul (RhudelD 'Yeager of Syracuse Death occurred in the Kosciusko Community Hospital where the deceased had been a patient for two weeks. He had been seriously ill for two years. Bom in Leitchfield. Ky., on January 7, 1908. Mr. Dennison was the son of Henry and Edna (Barnes) Dennison A resident of Kosciusko County for 35 years, he lived in Claypool and Syracuse prior to moving to Warsaw three years ago He married Gertrude Kiper in Leitchfield on November 21, 1936. She survives. A retired farmer. Mr Dennison was a member of the First Baptist Church m Warsaw. Survivors in addition to his wife are three daughters. Mrs Yeager, Mrs Manford (Mary Virginia) Wise of Goshen, and Mrs Edward (Gene) Armey of Warsaw; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; one brother. Emil of Louisville. Ky.; and four sisters. Mrs Elma Birch. Mrs. Irene Moms and Pauline Hall, all of Louisville, and Ree Kiper of Leitchfield. Rev. Robert Orr and Rev Thomas Douglas officiated at the service Interment was m the Oakwood cemetery Richard Genth Richard L. Genth. 78. of Manon and sister of Mrs Mane Snyder of Lake Wawasee. died Tuesday, Feb. 22, in the Marion Hospital A resident of Marion most of his hfe. the deceased was bom in Allen County on March 21. 1878 He married the former Irene Flock, she survives Mr Genth was the former owner and operator of the Genth resort at Beaver Dam Lake He was a member of the Nine Mile United Methodist Church and the Manon Moose Lodge. No 253. In addition to his wife Irene, other survivors are two sons. Eugene Genth of Englewood. Fla., and Bobby Genth of Elkhart, one daughter. Mrs Stanley (Eileen i Workmger of Elkhart; one step daughter. Mrs Dale (Jean) Chambers oGMan on; two brothers. Russell of Waynedale and Noel of Colum bus; two sisters. Mrs. Edna Carbaugh of Nine Mile and Mrs Snyder; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren Services were conducted Friday in the Needham and Son Funeral Home in Manon with Rev. Glen Method Funeral services were held Sunday for Glen L. Method, 72, of Elkhart and brother of Mrs. John (Dorothy) Stahly of Syracuse. Death came on Thursday at Goshen hospital where he had been admitted Wednesday evening. Mr Method had been ill only a short time following a stroke, j The deceased was born in Jackson township on October 9, 1904. and lived in New Paris most of his lifetime where he was a garage operator and mechanic He also served as a school bus driver for 30-years His marriage to Mabel J. Gonderman took place on October 9, 1926. and she survives. The couple moved to Elkhart last November. In addition to the widow and Syracuse sister, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary [Louise) Rahm of Elkhartj two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers. Frank of Nappanee and Floyd, New Paris; and three other sisters, Mrs. Vem (Eloise) Meeks and Mrs Karl (Faye) Kauffman, both of Nappanee, and Mrs. Frank (Bertha) Parker. Pierceton. Death came last Friday at Miller s Merry Manor, Columbia City. A native of Warsaw, she was born to A F and Mayme (Remer* Carteaux on March 16. 1898 She married Robert Pletcher on September 28, 1917, and he survives. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church In addition to the husband, she b survived by two daughters.

Firestone Lloyd Nelson Firestone, 75, Webster Lake, North Webster, died Tuesday at Fountainview Place. Goshen, where he was a patient just over a month. He had been ailing for two years. Mr. Firestone, a native of Kewanee. 111., was born April 10, 1901 and lived his life in South Bend. North Webster and Goshen. He was employed by the Oliver Manufacturing Co., South Bend, retiring in 1959. The sole survivor is a brother, Howard Firestone, Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Emmons Mrs. Delta M Emmons, 88. aunt of Betty Landis. Leesburg, and former resident of the Canterbury Nursing Home, Rochester, died Thursday in the Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Emmons, a native of Franklin Township, Kosciusko County, was born on November 16. 1888. the daughter of Phillip R. and Florence (Nelson) Bryant. She married Glen Emmons w ho died December 20. 1961 on August 15, 1914 in Rochester. Survivors include one nephew, David L. Bryant, Akron and another niece, Jean Ellis. Akron. She was preceded in death by two infant children and one brother and sister. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Haupert Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev. J. H. Thompson officiating. Interment was at the Nichols cemetery, near Akron.

Patty J. Stewart Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Miller Funeral Home at South Whitley for Patty J. Stewart, 41, Saint Petersburg. Fla., sister of Michael Mulligan of Leesburg. She died in a Saint Petersburg hospital on Monday of a heart attack. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Myers) Cods and was born in South Whitley on February 16. 1936. Surviving with the Leesburg brother are her mother. Mary Mulligan of r 1 Larwill , one son, Cheyenne Stewart, Fort Wayne; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Donna) Miller of Fort Wayne. Pittman, 50. of r 1 Bremen, and mother of Mrs. Katherine Young. Leesburg, died suddenly Thursday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after undergoing open heart surgery there last week. Mrs. Pittman, former physician s assistant to Dr. John E. Schreiner. Bremen, was born December 19, 1926. in Bremen She married Nelson L. Pittman on January 25.1945. He survives. Other survivors include one son. Donald. Bremen; another daughter. Miss Diana Pittman. Bremen, one sister. Mrs. Evelyn Koontz, Plymouth; her stepmother, Mrs. Lomeda Huff. Bremen and several stepbrothers and stepsisters. Funeral services were held Monday at the First United Church of Christ, Bremen. Interment was in the Bremen Cemetery.

Pauline M. Clauss Funeral services were held on Friday in the Mishler Funeral Home at Bremen and on Saturday in Fairbury, 111., for Mrs. Pauline M. Clauss, 94, r 1 Bremen. Mrs. Clauss died Tuesday evening, Feb. 22, at 11:20 p.m. in the Bremen Community Hospital after an extended illness. She was born Apirl 30,1882, in Villinger. Germany, to Michael and Ernestine (Aberle) Meister. She moved to Bremen in 1968 from Peoria, 111. She and Charles Clauss were married on April 26, 1936. He preceded her in death on December 25. 1953. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Rev. Earl Zeltwanger officiated at the services in Bremen. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery in Fairbury following the Saturday services. Addie Whiteleather Mrs. Addie Whiteleather. 93, 1230 East Clark Street, Warsawdied Monday at Kosciusko Community Hospital after failing in health for the past two years. She was bom March 15, 1883 near Leesburg to George and Loretta Himes. She married Arthur G. Whiteleather, October 9. 1904. He died in 1947. Surviving are one son. Dr. Elvan G. Whiteleather. Fort Wayne; one daughter, Mrs. George (Thelma) Briggs, Lombard, Ill.; four grandsons and one granddaughter. Mrs. Whiteleather was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and three sisters. Services are to be held Thursday. 10:30 a m. at the Titus Funeral Home by Rev. Charles Ashman. Interment will be in the Leesburg Cemetery. Milford EMS On February 19 members of the Milford EMT unit transported a Milford man to the Goshen hospital. A Leesburg lady, suffering from insulin shock was taken to Dr. Rheinheimer’s office and then transported to the Goshen hospital on February 22. The emergency service was called to the fire last Thursday at a Milford home and treated a fireman who became ill after inhaling fumes. He was transported to the Goshen Hospital emergency room. FIREMEN RESPOND — Members of the Milford Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire last Thursday afternoon at the Paul Steffan home, 411 West Emetine. A fire began in the Steffan garage wiring and was confined to the garage. Smoke damage spread to the house, below. Fireman Leon Newman was given emergency treatment from firemen, above, and was later treated for smoke inhalation at the Goshen Hospital and released. Two from county have licenses suspended Two residents of Kosciusko county have lost their driver s licenses according to the latest list from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Philip W. Okal, box 2 Leesburg, had his livense suspended from January 6, to January 6,1978, for drunk driving. Walter T. Thomas, r 5 Warsaw, had his license suspended from September 11,1977, to September 11. 1979, for drunk driving. USDA to review present soil, water conservation ORLANDO. Fla. — A US Department of Agriculture official told the land improvement contractors of America that the nation is taking risks with future needs for food and fiber if it does not increase its soil and water conservation practices. Secretary of Agriculture Bob Bergland will propose a commission. to review the present situation in Soil and Water Conservation, Bob Mondloch of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) told the group. “We will, in the months ahead, be reviewing in depth the position we will take as an administration on pollution and conservation questions," Mr. Mondloch said. “We will look for practical solutions that will not burden you as small businessmen and women or our farmers and ranchers with uneconomic answers or burdensome regulations." The deputy directors of ASCS’s environmental quality and land use division said the administration would-support the Agricultural Conservation Program (ACP) as a "practical vetacle to use" in voluntary soil and water conservation. The ACP provides cost-sharing funds to fanners for furthering conservation in the community beyond that which would be accomplished with the farmers' own resources. The president has submitted to
