Jay and Nancy Hersh have introduced to the area over the week end at the old Maxwelton dining room on the county line road, serving over 200 at a pre-opening party Saturday night. Kim Beezley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beezley of Syracuse, was selected by the American Legion Auxiliary unit 223 as representative to girls state in June. Rhonda Byrd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Byrd, was named alternate. Three year old Trade Roder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Winkler. 200 Mill Street. Syracuse, has been spared the need to undergo a series of rabies shots for. a dog bite to the body sustained last Thursday morning while playing near her home The dog belonging to Randy Graber of Syracuse was found about 10 hours later, is being confined for the 14-day waiting period SYEARS AGO. MARCH 1.1*67 Our Lady of the Lake Seminary, Lake Wawasee, has announced a major change in the admission policy. Beginning in September 1967, the school will accept qualified boarding students interested in pursuing regular college preparatory courses. CB is taken from vehicle in Goshen A citizen's band radio was taken from the vehicle of David Vice, r 2 Milford, last week. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot at the Chase Bag Co, and was inlocked at the time of the theft. The CB was valued at S2OO. The thief or thieves unscrewed the radio from the mounting bracket and cut the connecting wires.

Investigations continue into attempted entries Kosciusko county officers continued investigations into five attempted break-ins of summer cottages located at Miller’s Landing on the northwest side of Webster Lake during the past month. Not all homes were entered though attempts were made, and home owners were notified of the attempts. Bullet holes found in car Jim Kemstein, r 2 Syracuse, discovered six bullet holes in his car Wednesday, Feb. 23, when he left his home to go to work. The damages, estimated at S9OO. were evidently caused by a high caliber weapon and occurred sometime Tuesday evening while the car was parked in front of the Kemstein residence.
