Warriors build for sectional

Really we've tried to build up to this point all year,” says Wawasee Coach Jerry Lambert. Lambert would have liked to end with a better season record, but has gained a more experienced team in the process. "But at this poinjt, things really seem to be gelling together, Lambert reflected. “The kids are confident because they know they can play against anyone in that sectional." > The Wawasee squad has improved their rebounding with Keith Cripe, Norm Vanlaningham and Mark Francis consistently scoring in that area. The "total team offense" the team played, along with the defense forcing errors has helped them win their last three conference games, for a 3-4 record. In previous outings, the Warriors were defeated by three points against Warsaw and down one against Tippecanoe Valley, both considered the sectional favorites. "We've really only been out two gomes.” Lambert said. Through the season, the hard working team saw overtime and two and three point losses. But Lambert says the squad has hustled and "continued to improve despite disappointments."
