Margaret Cousins, opened the meeting with a poem, "February Dream,” followed with prayer. It was the thought of the ladies that friends and relatives in the community might like to contribute their favorite recipes to this book. For the lesson Violett Miller gave a challenging thought, "I’m Talking to Myself — Am I Listening?” She quoted Mark 7:14-15 and Second Corinthians 13:5, showing that all should know themselves and be responsible for what is said and done The hymn "Open My Eyes That I May See” and the folk tune “Pass It Chi” brings this same message in song. Mrs. Cousins and Nancy Wuthrich assisted Mrs. Miller with a playlet which listened in on one person’s two selves, bringing out the pros and cons of everyday situations in the thought process.
