Warriors upset rough Squires

By ESTI KEEN Wawasee upset a rough Manchester squad 82-78 here Saturday evening. Wavasee upped their record to 4-10 while Manchester dipped to 7-7. Manchester jumped to ar quick 11-4 lead in four minutes. Meanwhile, Wawasee turned the baU over four times on traveling penalties. Wrestlers finish season 10-0

Wawasee's wrestlers took on a very strong North Wood team last night, and after a tough fight, overpowered the Panthers 32-17. Terry Rinker won by decision at 100 pounds and Hal Hammaker decisioned his man 8 to 2 at 121 pounds. Joe and Robbie Ladner at 107 and 114 both lost by decisions to North Wood. At 128. By ESTI KEEN The Warrior basketball team was downed by Goshen 71-65 Friday night at Goshen High School. For the Warriors it was their tenth loss in 13 outings, but they have never failed to give their opponents a good scare and the Redskins were no exception Wawasee scored four more field goals than the Redskins and forced their hosts into four more turnovers. However, charity tosses decided the game as Goshen led in that department 25-11. Goshen tore away with a 14-7 • advantage 5:10 into the game on 7-o(-ll shooting and a 9-3 lead in

The Warriorette’s prevailed throughout the entire game leading all four quarters by more than half. High scorer for Wawasee was Kathi Replogle with 11 points. Second highest scorer was Mary Kitson with six points. The two top rebounders were Sonya Hoover with nine and Teresa Carpenter with eight. The girls’ next game is the Concord tourney on Saturday.
