B-team records first victory of the season The Warrior B team posted its first victory of the season last Wednesday They squeaked by Northridge 59-58. in the consolation game of the Northridge junior varsity tourney held Tuesday and Wednesday night Sophomore Mike Ray sank a free throw on a one-and-one with three seconds remaining to give them the victory. Phil Stichter paced the W amor attack with 26 points and Mark Simpson added 10 to be the top scorers for the Warriors Wiwasee was defeated by Whitko 58-42 in the first game of the tourney The Wildcats then went on to win the tourney by beating West Noble

The Wawasee wrestlers continue to hold on to an undefeated season after a 36-26 victory over the Manchester Squires last night (Tuesday) in the Warrior gym. Wawasee had five pins by Joe Gerencser at 105, Hal Hammaker at 119. Vince Gronendyke at 138. Jim Shock at 155 and Mitch Ousley in the heavyweight division. Also scoring a 9-7 decision over Manchester was Kevin Marose at 126. Knights of Columbus hold a free throw tournament

Approximately 20 boys and girls competed in the basketball free throw tournament held Saturday, Dec 18, in the Milford junior high school The tournament was sponsored by Father Francis Pitka Council 6323, Knights of Columbus Trophies were presented to winners of eight classes as follows 11- old boys and girls — Jerry Auer and Sharon Bohnstedt 12- old boys and girls — Pat Speicher and Vai Kreider 13- old boys and girls — Jeff Sylvester and Brenda Bucher 14- old boys and girls — Tom Troup and Denise Mast Winners will be invited to compete in the district tour-

nament in January This will be followed by regional and state tournaments.
