the Warrior defense for 13 points A dark cloud loomed over the court tn the third quarter - or so it seemed for the Warriors. By the time Wawasee managed to clear the haze for its first points the Minutemen had already opened the lead to 59-34 Coach Lambert explained. "We got into deep foul trouble by the third quarter but we felt that we had to press Concord We had some different people in, they were not able to contain them and they got some easy baskets ” Concord shot for an admirable 54 per cent from the floor during the second half of play while the Wamors managed to net 10 of 28 for a 36 per cent Wawasee out rebounded its opponents 43-29 "We were not at all pleased with our defense. Lambert said. "That is something we must work on harder." Once the Minutemen had built their impressive buffer they decided to play it cool and slow down their offensive play a bit. They put a three-two zone defense into effect and held off on the complicated lay-ups Murray
explained, “We started to get into foul trouble so we decided to slow things down and wait for either the foul or the good percentage shot Highlights in Wawasee action came from Ken Patton who collected 15 points and Keith Cripe who contributed 14 points along with several rebounds. “I was also pleased with the play of Worth Packer who came off the bench and gave us six points," Lambert offered.
