Mason asked about provisions for churches, and was told by attorney Lawson that churches were excluded and that churches could not be built where there are wetlands. The term “wetlands” appeared to open a can of worms Mason said his wife Mary Lou is an ordained minister and that they planned to build a church on wetlands. He asked attorney Lawson for a definition of wetlands and failed to get an answer. He noted that the ordinance gives no definition of wetlands. It was also noted that funds for a lawsuit in the case would come from public funds, but that plaintiffs would have to bear their own legal expenses Joe Nemeth asked about publication of the ordinance, and questions were posed by Mrs James Wogomon and former town board member Loren Knispel. HHHHHHHHHH SANITATION TRUCK UPSETS — A large truck belonging to Lakeland Sanitation Service, North Webster, failed to negotiate the corner at state road 13 and county road 1000 North, near the new Harris funeral home, at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday. Driver David Stump, 20, said the tank was full and when he turned to go west on the county road the load shifted causing him to upset. Stump was not hurt, but passenger Connie Mock. 22, suffered a sprained left ankle. She was taken to the Kosciusko Community hospital in the emergency ambulance.

the gift was presented, was held in a North Webster restaurant with officials and staff members of C. S. Myers, Inc., and members of the Hartter family in attendance. Among the guests was C. S. Myers of Syracuse, now retired. Mr. Myers is the founder of the agency. The program was presented by Mrs. C. J. Myers. She presented slides of a trip she took to the Holy Land a few years ago. The slides were of points of interest which will be on the Hartters’ tour. All of the couple's daughters were present — Mr. and Mrs. Dwight (Beverly) Troxel of Bluffton; Mr. and Mrs. Don (Virginia) Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip (Clarann) Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Dick (Connie) Casto, all of Milford; and Miss Doris Hartter and friend Don Rhodes of Warsaw.

Wants To Travel Now that he is retired, the trip to the Holy Land will fit well into Hartter s plans as he and his wife plan to travel. He said he is “retired” but will help out at the garage if he is needed from time to time. Hartter is also a minister at the Apostolic Christian church and plans to remain in that capacity. At the present time the couple is working on projects around their new home. They sold their large family home on Section street to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harvey of North Carolina in August and purchased a smaller home from Mary Jane Gansert. Their new home is located south of Milford and Mrs. Hartter states it is the first time she has lived outside the town limits in her life. Her husband’s quick comment was that annexation will come soon and then she will be back in the town limits!
