Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hurd spent several days in Michigan last week vacationing. Mr. Glasser has accepted a teaching assignment at the Ozark Bible college and institute. Ron Wildman and Martin Lundburg assisted in transporting their household goods to Arkansas. Mrs. Zona Deeter spent several days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sands and family of Munster. Minor damage f in accident at Kaiser property A car driven by Titus Herschberger, 20, of Goshen, left the road and entered the yard of Robert Kaiser, near Milford. The vehicle was traveling north of SR 15 at 3:30 Wednesday morning, Aug. 11, when the incident occurred. Herschberger told Kosciusko county police patrolman Marlin Rose he fell asleep at the wheel. Damage to the car was estimated at S7OO and no estimate was made of damage to the Kaiser property.

Elementary registration at North Webster school
Enrollment dates have been set at the North Webster elementary’ school so that book rental fees can be paid before the opening day oi school. One or both parents should accompany the child in the day set aside for their enrollment. The following schedule will be used: August 23 — Kindergarten and first grade August 24 — Second and third grade August 25 — Fourth and fifth grade August 26 — Anyone who missed registration on the above dates All are asked to complete their child’s registration on the appointed day. Parents with more than one child attending the elementary school may complete the registration for all on one of the appointed days. School officials would like to have all book rental and supply

Calvary choir to present a Bicentennial concert
The Calvary char proudly presents its “Bicentennial Salute to America” on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 8:15 p.m. in the sanctuary of Calvary United Methodist church, located on SR 13 south of Syracuse. The 25 voice choir has been in rehearsal for the concert throughout the summer. It will feature many spirituals and folk songs depicting the different regions of our country and various phases of American life since our founding fathers declared independence from $225 DAMAGES TO COMBINE An estimated $225 damage resulted when vandals shot out the front glass on a John Deere combine owned by Samuel Cormany, r 2 Leesburg.
