The general fund levy is $2.50, to raise $55,925; the motor vehicle highway levy is six cents, to raise $15,596; and the cumulative sewer levy has been raised to 20 cents, to raise $4,474. 16-year-old bike rider injured
Jay Allen Evans, 16. r 1 Leesburg, who has been the summer guest of his grandfather, Noah Rutledge, on the south side of Tippecanoe Lake, was injured when the tricycle he was riding was struck by a car. The youth underwent plastic surgery at Methodist hospital in Indianapolis Wednesday. Aug. 11, for injuries resulting from the mishap. The accident occurred on Armstrong road, two miles southwest of North Webster, east of the Barbee Lake road, while he was traveling west home from his job at Adventureland in North Webster. The driver of the westbound car. Teresa Parsons. 19, r 1 Leesburg, said she swerved to try to miss the bicyclist but was unable to avoid the accident. The

Evans boy was thrown 16 feet after hitting the windshield of the car and the bicycle was thrown 56 feet after impact. The youth was taken to Kosciusko Community hospital where he was transferred to Ball Memorial hospital in Munice. He was transferred from there to Methodist hospital in Indianapolis for the plastic surgery for extensive Yacial lacerations and abrasions to his right side, according to his step-father, James Rutledge, Muncie. According to Kosciusko county police capt. Tom Kitch, who investigated the wreck, there are no charges filed or pending the driver. Damage to the Parsons vehicle was estimated at $350 with $75 damage to the bike.
