Former Journalist Seaman worked as a reporter on the now-defunct “Harrisburg (Pa.) Reporter” and on the European edition of the “Stars and Stripes." A year ago he traveled 59 days (July 14-August 11) from Eugene, Oreg., to Washington. D.C., a total of 3.300 miles. “In another day I’d be a Magellan," he said wistfully. He said he has a portfolio of stocks that allows him to travel. He had no idea what it cost him. since he said he finds people generous in feeding and housing him.
