Herbert Shull Funeral services will be held Thursday morning for Herbert Shull. 70. a lifetime resident of Kosciusko county. Death came at 5 a m on Tuesday in the Alfran nursing home at Warsaw and was due to complications. He had been in failing health for 13 years Bom at Oswego on November 12. 1905. he was a son of Henry and Olive (Beatty) Shull. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Evelyn Poor. Mr Shull was a farmer and laborer during his lifetime. He is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Catherine Babcock of Syracuse; a half-brother. Boyd *Bud) Kehr of Goshen; a stepdaughter. Juanita Robinson of Goshen; and an aunt. Anna Bowser, Warsaw friends may call at the Hams funeral home in Syracuse between 7-9 tonight (Wednesday). Rev. Thomas Douglas will of; ficiate for the graveside service at Syracuse cemetery on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Jacqueline Cook Funeral services were held Monday. iMU '| B>„ The Syracuse EMU .teams made the following ambulance runs this past week: On Tuesday, July 20, at 9:10 p.m. Dorothy Winter of Champion, Hl., who is five and a half months pregnant, slipped on a pond step in Syracuse and suffered a possible fracture of the left ankle and bruises on right foot. She was transported to the Goshen hospital by the ambulance. On Tuesday. July 20, at 4:10 p.m. the ambulance was dispatched to the home of Charles Payton on Dewart Lake. Peyton suffered severe chest pains and was transported to the Goshen hospital. On Tuesday. July 20, at 9:08 a m the ambulance transported Herschel Leatherman. 73, from his residence in Syracuse, to the Goshen hospital. He was suffering pain in his lower left rib cage Leatherman fell in the bathtub the previous Saturday, and had suffered pains since the fall. On Wednesday. July 21. at 2:16 p.m. Duane Selter. 45, of Huntington. suffered an apparent heart attack at the Vega Corporation. The ambulance transported Selter to the Goshen hospital. On Wednesday. July 21. at 3:50 p.m. the ambulance was dispatched to Oakwood park to aid Nancy Brunilson. 29. of Syracuse. They transported her to the Kosciusko Community hospital. On Thursday. July 22, at 10:04 a m the ambulance was called to Kathy's Beauty Bazaar to aid Lillian Cook. 50. of Syracuse, who experienced a spell of dizziness and profuse perspiration. She was feeling better when aidmen came and stated she would see her own doctor. On Thursday, July 22, at 5:29 p.m. the ambulance was dispatched to the corner of Huntington and Pittsburg, near Cutter Chevrolet in Syracuse to aid Kim Scott. 26. of Syracuse. Scott received bruises to the left side of the head, abrasions to both forearms and complained of pain in his shoulder after his motorcycle struck a car. He was transported to his residence on Boston street. On Friday. July 23, at 10:42 a.ra; the ambulance transported Mrs. Gary (Judy) Stoll, 27, of Elkhart, a victim of a boating accident on Lake Wawasee, to the Goshen hospital. The patient suffered a partially severed arm and a laceration to the left side of the head. On Friday, July 23. at 11:52 p.m. August Luyben, 53, Syracuse, was transported from his residence near Turtle Bay to the Goshen hospital. He was suffering pain in the right shoulder, rib cage and hip. On Friday. July 23. at 2:50 p.m. the ambulance was dispatched to Oakwood Park to transport two accident victims to the Goshen hospital. Kathy Brandon, 18, of Syracuse, passenger in the car, suffered a head wound, neck fracture and an eye laceration. Driver James C. Wolfe, 21 of Syracuse received a cut on the nose, scratches to the bead, and lefthand finger. He was treated and released. ■ EMS <]Jj, The Milford EMS made three runs during the penod from July 13-20. On July 13, a patient was taken to Goshen hospital after becoming ill at home. ■l* IcSl' TWO HOSPITALIZED — Details are incomplete an how this Porche was wrecked early this morning (Wednesday) south of Milford on state road 15. Two occupants in the car were sent to the hospital. The preliminary report of Lt. Tom Kitch of the county sheriffs department shows Walter Anglemeyer, 22, 905 North Wood. Nappanee, was driving the Porche which is owned by Larry Neumaker, also of Nappanee. The report states the driver lost control of the car which skipped 360 feet, went off the road and into a stand of trees. The report notes the driver was cited for wreckless driving.

Vandalism and reported Kosciusko county officers continue investigation into several break-ins and thefts over the week end. including a theft of a battery from a boat belonging to Gerald Radcliff of r 3 Syracuse. Dick Walton, also of r 3 Syracuse, told county officers his ice house, near the fish hatchery, was broken into and 30 bags of ice. weighing 18 pounds each, were taken Value of the ice was set at $1 46 a bag. A break-in was reported to Syracuse police on Tuesday at Sea Nymph plant number four in Syracuse. All that was taken was a thermos with the word Strohs written on the cup. Entry was gained by breaking< a window.
