New farm wheat allotments set A new farm wheat allotment may be established for 1977 crop wheat for farms that do not presently have an allotment, if they meet eligibility requirements, according to Phil Braman of the local ASCS Office. A 1977 wheat allotment will be established automatically for most farms that had a wheat allotment in 1976. To be eligible for a new farm allotment, the operator must expect to receive more than 50 per cent of his income from farming. Neither the owner or the operator may have an interest in any other farm which will have a 1977 wheat allotment, and the person making application must have had at least.
one year’s production experience in a prior year Applications for a new farm allotment must be filed in the county office on or before July 1, 1976 Any interested producer who can meet these requirements and does not presently operate a farm with a wheat allotment should contact the ASCS office before the final date for filing an application. LAKELAND LOCAL John Zimmerman of r 2 Syracuse, who recently retired from the Weatherhead company after 24 years of service, was honored by his co-workers at a retirement dinner on June 11. Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmerman of r 2 Syracuse have returned from a visit with Mr and Mrs. John Dirkes and family at Johnston City, 111. Mrs. Zimmerman and Mrs Dirkes are sisters.
