EMERAL CALENDAR, president of the class of 1931. Milford high school, has always been a little cerebral with his outlook on life, even when he walked the halls of what he termed “good old MHS.” At the Saturday night alumni banquet in what was once the old gymnasium, an old friend commented, “Gee, Emeral. you’re looking well.” “Thank you,” he countered, "the body is showing a little wear and tear, but that's all right. CONGRATULATIONS go to the Wawasee high school girls track team for their state championship They proved they are number 1 last Friday and were honored by the three Lakeland communities on Sunday. AS we understand Milford had the largest delegation out to meet these girls with persons lining Mam street for 45 to 60 minutes before they arrived Windows were painted with Number I and State Champs and the junior high girls made signs to congratulate the Warriorettes on their victory. As ironic as it may seem members of the Lakeland school board opened bids on Monday afternoon for, among other things, a new track for Wawasee high school Final approval for the new track, however, has not been given Board members are currently studying track finishes and then must make the decision as to whether or not they want to put in a new track or to keep the one which is presently in use.
