Gospel concert set at Syracuse Church of God

The Newsfnen Quartet of Markle will present a gospel concert on Sunday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m: at the Syracuse Church of God. Washington and Harrison streets. Two teachers, a farmer and a quality manager join to travel and sing nearly every week end, for church meetings, special group meetings and. Gospel Sings. They have recorded three LP stereo albums. Members Ron Lund is the lead singer and plays guitar. He is a school teacher and farmer in addition to serving his church as an elder and Sunday school superintendent. Bob Lund is the group s baritone singer. A farmer, Bob teaches a college age class and serves as elder of his church. Dennis Overholt sings the tenor

Interfaith share organization to meet The interfaith share organization met recently at Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church at Syracuse with 14 members in attendance. Members of the group from Saint Andrew’s provided the refreshments and served as hosts. Highlighting the meeting was a program by Ray Stutsman, a member of the board of directors of Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Elkhart county. He showed a film and outlined the general and specific goals of Big Brother work in meeting the needs of boys who lack the guidance and companionship of a father. Official Title It was decided during the meeting to adopt the name "Interfaith Share Organization" as the official title of the group.
