OPENS FRIDAY — James Broiin and Jill Clayburgh star as the two screen idols of the 1930‘s who fell in love and defied convention in Universal’s “Gable and Lombard.*’ The show opens Friday at the Lake Theater in Warsaw.
Research helps James Broiin capture the King for movie role
If he manages to seem like a ringer for Clark Gable in Universal s "Gable and Lombard.” says James Broiin. it's
not because he set out to impersonate the star who was known as The King during his long Hollywood reign “I just wanted to suggest him.” the tall, dark-eyed actor tells it. “He had a very distinct way of speaking. Furie I Film and Harry Korshak ' Production opening Friday at the Lake Theatre in Warsaw He read everything available to him on Gable, saw dozens of his films, and talked to people who worked with him during his tenure at MGM Studios. “I believe that through my research, I managed to get the feel of the man. how he was. how he felt about people — his likes . and dislikes,” says Broiin.
