Kosciusko county property owners are reminded that Saturday, May 15. is the final date for filing personal property assessments with their local township trustee or assessor to avoid a penalty. Any assessment made after the May 15 deadline is subject to a late filing penalty. Items to be assessed are trucks with more than 11,000 pound capacity, truck bodies, pickup truck campers, and toppers. 2

One cor accident near Pierceton on Sunday afternoon State trooper Michael Pershing investigated a one-car accident at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, east of Pierceton on US 30. The driver of the car was Laurence S. Burzinsky, 39, Alexandria. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Burzinsky’s vehicle ran off of the road and he lost control, skidding 408 feet. The car hit an embankment and flipped over on its top. ? He had Small laceration on his forehead and complained of pain to his right leg but refused treatment. Damages to the 1974 Chevrolet were set at $2,700.
