On the beam, Cox was first with the highest score, Byrd achieved a second place and freshman Nancy Amos accomplished a sixth. Cox was first in vaulting and Barb Yoder succeeded to place fifth. Pete Shock is coach of year

Rookie head coach Pete Shock of Silver City. NM. has been named the District 3-AAA coach of the year for 1976. Shock is the son of Dale Schock, a former outstanding player on the Syracuse basketball team. The senior Mr. Shock retired from coaching in 1974 and was honored for having coached the longest of anyone in the state. He coached at Cliff high school in Cliff. NM. for 40 years. BASEBALL RULES MEETING AT MILFORD The Northern Indiana Officials association will hold its baseball rules interpretation meeting on Monday. April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Milford junior high school gym. Bill Beahan represented the association at the IHSAA spring meeting; and will conduct the program. Area coaches are invited and all interested persons desiring to become umpires should attend.
