Theta Sigma to bring performing arts to area

The Theta Sigma chapter of the Psi lota Xi sorority of North Webster held its March 9 meeting in the home of Mrs. Mike Mulligan. The special guest of the evening was Joseph Hale of the Indiana Arts Commission. Mr. Hale explained to the members how-they could set up a college concert tour of the performing arts. Mrs. John Sudlow was hostess for the meeting of the Wednesday Afternoon club last week with 16 members responding to roll call. Mrs. Max Angfin entertains for Leesburg club The Leesburg Home Ec club met in the home of Mrs. Max Anglin last Wednesday evening. Mrs. Don Boggs was co-hcfctess. The club opened in regular form. Van driver eludes law An attempt to cite a driver for running a stop sign in Syracuse last week end resulted in a high speed chase by Kosciusko county officers, with driver of the van and passengers eluding the law County officer Tom Kitch reported the van running a stop sign on Indiana 13 at the south edge of Syracuse, and attempted to stop the driver. The van driver, however, sped away at speeds up to 85 miles an hour before abandoning the vehicle at the south end of Waco drive.
