Sullivan ®f Lafayette was in Kosciusko county last week campaigning for the Republican party's second district congressional nomination. Also seeking the post are Will Erwin of Bourbon and Phil Oppenheim of Lake Tippecanoe. Sullivan is 34 years old. He was a marketing economist in 4he school of agriculture at Purdue university until he stepped down from that post last fall to seek the congressional seat. Sullivan says he is "Against gun control as now proposed by some of the 'liberal reformers' in Washington. What this country needs is an effective program of judicial reform and strong criminal law enforcement, not gun control.” He has also taken a stand on the Wildcat reservoir-as it is now proposed by Congressman Floyd Fithian, on the Dunes Park expansion, on energy and agriculture.
