Are you one of those average Christian* today who rarely tee* any evidence et the supernatural as a result ol your prayers? A common belief MM by many is that H they had mere faith, they would get greater answer* from their prayers Hewever. it doesn t take a lot of faith to get a lot done in fact, the truth is. a mustard seed size of faith will move a mountain. (Matthew I7:») Most of u* have been led to believe that we need a mountain of faith to move a grata of mustard teed. On one occasion. Jesus' apostles asked Him to give them more faith. (Luk* 17:$. 4) Sounds v*ry contemporary doesn't it? In His reply to them, Jesus did not suggest hew they might add to their faith. His answer was that they needed to use the faith they already had. Theirs was not a problem ol a lack of faith, but the problem was the application of that faith wMch Jesus assumed they should have by this time. Another incident in the life of Jesus and Hi* disciples was when they were ta a beat and a great storm arose on th* sea. WHS basketball fans can look for 'quicker team' By JOAN BLLETTY The Wawasee varsity basketball team will begin its 1975-76 season this Saturday evening in a home game against Carroll at 6:45 p.m. The team is being coached by Bob Heady and Jerry Lambert. This year the team is comprised of nine seniors and three juniors. Four of these seniors are returning lettermen: Dale Ganz, Larry Allen, Ralph Reiff and Vince Rhodes. Starting at center will be Norm Vanlaningham; as guards will be Steve Troup, and either Vince Rhodes or Larry Allen; forwards will be Keith Cripe and Dale Ganz, Rick Parker or Doug Pollock. The boys have been practicing hard now for several weeks for 1416 hours a week. Once the season starts they will practice 10-12 hours a week. Coach Heady says that TEAM play both on offense and defense along with quickness will be the strong points of the team this year. According to Coach Heady, Warrior fans can look forward to, “a quicker team, more pressure defense used and a running game.” His outlook for the season is, “an improvement on last season’s 9-12 record; however, our schedule is loaded with good teams with size, which could give us trouble.” The team is looking forward to Saturday night’s game with anticipation, as Coach Heady says, “This is a positive thinking group of young men. They have been working hard and 1 feel we will be ready for Carrol.” Varsity Grade Height Weight +Vince Rhodes 12 5’ io” 150 •+Dale Ganz 12 6’ 0” 150 +Larry Allen 12 5’11” 162 +Ralph Reiff 12 6’2” 185 Craig Sorensen 12 5’ 10” 132 Doug Pollock 12 6’ 1” 155 Steve Kroh 12 6’ 0” 170 Steve Troup 12 5’ n” 155 Norm Vanlaningham 11 6’ 2h” 168 Keith Cripe 11 6’ 1” 172 - Rick Parker 11 6’ 1” 167 Mike Steffen 11 6’ 1” 184 (+Denotes returning lettermen) Jr. Varsity Mark Francis 11 6’ 2” 175 Doug Rassi 10 Bob Sylvester 10 5’ 84” 131 Bryan Smith 10 5’ 9” 145 KentTrobaugh 10 5’ 84” 145 Worth Packer 10 6’2” 169 J.D.Carl 10. 5’84” 144 Ken Patton 10 6’ 3” 177 Tom Kroh 10 5’ 10" 147 Mike Ousley 10 5’ 11" 152 Ted Knudsen 10 6’ 0” 152

Lisa Bosstick in the 100 freestyle, Teresa Carpenter in the 100 Milford 7th graders are victorious The seventh grade from Milford successfully opened its basketball season last Friday with a victory over Pierceton 4522. Utilizing speed, quickness and an aggressive pressing defense, the young Trojans easily handled the bigger Pierceton team. Jeff Sylvester led the scoring attack with 23 points. Todd Grove established two new records as he hit for 35 points and grabbed 23 rebounds. The rebound record was set in 1969 by Lyle Slabaugh, the old record was 21. Dave Meade, Randy Blackburn and Greg Adams assisted Grove as they grabbed many rebounds and helped build a 20 point lead early in the third quarter. The third and fourth quarters were played with many players going into and out of the game as all 12 team members saw action.
