Northridge to nine yards on the ground. In the second quarter. Keith Cripe completed eight of 16 throws, stacking up 143 yards against Northridge. Larry Allen, in the thrid quarter against Plymouth, connected four of 10 passes to gain 51 yards. North Wood and Plymouth started out the game. After eight plays, and with only 19 seconds for the clock to tick away the Panther s Mel Shields scored from only one yard out. Wawasee and Northridge picked up where North Wood and Plymouth left off with junior Keith Cripe starting as quarterback for Wawasee. J. C. Shrock received two passes to set the Warriors up, then Cripe hit Rick Bauman to score on a six yard run to up the score to a 13-0 lead over the Raiders. Northridge did not have the ball long before Wawasee intercepted a pass and Cripe connected with Dennis Spearman twice to gain 23 yards. Then on the 22 yard line with four and 12 Cripe was caught in the backfield and Northridge gained possession, but failed to gain yardage. Dennis Spearman returned a punt to Wawasee’s 33 and Schwartz of Northridge was injured in the pile up with 3:20 left in the quarter.
