Edith Foster Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, for Mrs Roy (Edith) Foster, 74,0 f 1 Leesburg She died of complications at 5:15 a m. Thursday. July 3. She had been in fading health for several years Mrs Foster was bom April 21. 1901 to Jesse and Viola (Bell) Pulley. She was a native of Grant county. She was married to Roy Foster on October 14, 1924. She resided at Landress prior to moving to this area in 1969 Mrs. Foster was a member of the Barbee Lakes Community church Survivors include her husband; one son. Rev Bryce Foster, r 1 Leesburg; and one sister. Mrs Roger (Gladys) Pole. Warren. Rev. Bryce Foster and Rev. Al Buhler officated and interment was in Grant Memorial Park at Marion Cora Jarrett Mrs. Guy M (Cora Crow) Jarrett died July 2 in the hospital at Elwood City. Pa She was raised m the Syracuse area and was. known by many in that area town Funeral services were held last Saturday at 11 a m. with burial in Elwood City Her husband preceded her in death . Survivors are a daughter. Mrs Dave (Gene) Hawthorn of Pittsburg. a son. Dr John Crow Jarret of Marion and Lake Wawasee; a nephew. Maurice Crow of Syracuse; and a niece. Mrs Paul (Roberta'' Crow' McClintic of Toledo. Ohio Isabelle Hearn Services were conducted at 10 30 am Monday in a Warsaw funeral home for Mrs E W. (Isabelle* Hearn. 72. of Leesburg, who died at 8:30 pm Thursday in Goshen hospital She had been m failing health since October. 1974 * She was bom April 4. 1903 and was the daughter of Karl and Ruth (Beauchamp l Young She was a former resident of North Manchester, she had lived m the Warsaw area since 1960

Mrs. Hearn was married to E. W. Hearn on December 10. 1931 in North Manchester He survives. Mrs Hearn was a retired school teacher, she was a graduate of Manchester college. She taught music and English in elementary and Warsaw junior high from 1960-69 She had also taught in the North Manchester grade schools. Mrs Hearn was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist church and was a Tri Kappa and member of the Eastern Star in North Manchester Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons. Kosciusko county prosecuting attorney R. Steven Hearn, Syracuse; and James W. Heam. r 7. Warsaw, and five grandchildren Rev Kenneth Fast officiated and burial was in the Leesburg cemetery Mrs. John Iffert Funeral services were held at I:3opm Tuesday for Mrs Oyo Mae Iffert. 82. r 1 New Pairs, who died at 5 a m Sunday in the home of a nephew. Paul J Markley, r 1 Milford Mrs Iffert was with the Markleys since June 2. and before that was a patient at Goshen hospital She has been in failing health for several years Mrs Iffert was bom August 19. 1892 in Elkhart township She was the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Wyland’Lewallen She married John Iffert in 1912. he proceeded her m death December 17. 1942 Surviving are a brother. Robert Lewallen. Goshen, and a number of nieces and nephews A son. Jesse fffert. died December 28. 1973 Rev. Wilburn Lewallen and Rev Douglas Archer officiated and burial was in Violett cemetery Ralph L. Miller Ralph L Miller. 63. Goshen, son of Mrs A. L. <Olive Deardorff) Miller of Syracuse passed away Tuesday morning, July 1. in his sleep He was found in his home that evening by neighbors. He was born November 15, 1911 and was a native of Morris. 111. He moved from Syracuse to Goshen in 1934 He married Christine Armour on November
29, 1934. She preceded him in death on May 15, 1974. Miller had been employed as a manufacturers representative by Freeman Supply company in Toledo. Ohio. He belonged to the First Presbyterian church. He was a deacon and trustee of the church, a 32d degree Mason. Shrine club member, member of the American Foundry society, Tippecanoe and Maplecrest country clubs. Surviving with the mother are two daughters. Mrs. Richard (Mary) Cross, Greenfield and Mrs. John (Martha l Nagle. Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and four sisters. Mrs. Hazel LeClare. Indianapolis, Mrs. Walter (Mabel > Smith, Evansville, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) McMacken. Canton. Ohio and Mrs. Joseph (Frances) Brady. Manasquan. N. J Services were held Thursday in Goshen with the Rev. Andrew L. Hardie, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was in the Violett cemetery Mrs. Rachel M. Stair Mrs. Rachel M. Stair, 67, r 1 North Webster, passed away Thursday at 5:30 p.m in the Whitley County hospital in Columbia City. Mrs Stair lived in North Webster for 39 years, moving from Marion where she was born Survivors include a son. Detmer, North Webster; a sister. Mrs Phoebe Shadle, Bluffton; and two grandchildren. Services were held Monday in Marion. Interment was in a Marion cemetery. Mrs. John Vance Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the New Salem Church of the Brethren for Mrs John (Anna Lou Shively) Vance. 43. of Lake Forest Addition, r 6. Warsaw. She died at 7:45 a m. Tuesday. July 8. in the Goshen hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks. Mrs. Vance was bom March 22. 1932t0 Frank and Inez (Roberts) Shively. On December 24. 1950 she was united in marriage to John Vance. Mrs Vance was a native of Leesburg and a member of the New Salem Church of the Brethren She is survived by her husband; one son, Michael W Vance, r 6 Warsaw; one daughter. Marcell Lee Vance, at

July 6, at 7:56 a.m. in the Goshen hospital. Sandra Marie weighed seven pounds, four ounces and was 204 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Archie Powell of Louisville. Ky.. and the paternal grandparents are Mr and Mrs. Carl Hunziker of Leesburg. Mrs. Thimbie Evans of Cincinnati. Tori Lee. born June 30 in the Whitley County hospital in Columbia City. Tori weighed eight pounds, 64 ounces. was 204 inches long and was born at 2:18 p.m. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gene Berghorn of North Webster. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Tony Strombeck of North Webster. Maternal great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Berghorn. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Coblentz and Mrs. Iva Duke, all of Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Carolyn Casto of Milford underwent surgery in the Elkhart hospital last week. She has since been released and is recuperating at home. HARVEY SPEICHER IS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL Harvey Speicher. 58, Milford, was taken by Goshen ambulance to the hospital at 10:17 p.m. Saturday. He sustained a mouth injury at a Goshen club. He was treated and released. NANCY SEARFOSS IS RECUPERATING Mrs. Charles (Nancy) Searfoss of Syracuse is recuperating in her home following surgery in the Elkhart hospital.
