June 14. in the Grace Bible church at Syracuse The father of the bride. Rev David R. Haifley. officiated at the service. There 150 guests present. Garden flowers decorated the church Miss Christina Graff, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Phillip Graff. Their selections were “Wedding Prayer" and “Love Fadeth Never.” Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared m a handmade crepe gown with lace overlay, tatted lace and beads accented the front The chapel train was made-by’the bride's mother -The satin ring pillow, trimmed m handmade tatting, was made by the. bride's grandmother The empire crown was elbow-length. The cake was made by the bride and her mother Christina Graff cut the cake and it was served by Debra Nyikos. Cynthia Strieby. Bonnie Nyikos and Pam Strieby. The school was decorated byMrs. John Nyikos. Deborah Stneby took care of the guest book. The couple will reside in Syracuse after the honeymoon. The bride graduated from Syracuse Christian school and Independent Fundamental Bible Institute. She taught in the Syracuse Christian school. The bridegroom is a carpet layer and school teacher. He attended the University of Wisconsin and is attending Independent Fundamental Bible Institute.

Naomi Kitson to celebrate 90th birthday Mrs. Naomi Kitson will celebrate her 90th birthday on July 7. She is in the Prairie-View nursing home in Warsaw. Mrs Kitson was bom in a log cabin on what is now the Avon Bushong farm on the SyracuseMilford road. She has nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren A quiet day is planned Kaiser, Miller wedding June 20 Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kaiser of Milford have announced the June 20 marriage of their daughter. Sharlene Ann, to Steven Parker Miller, son of Mrs. Partha Miller of Milford. The bridegroom is employed as a machinist in Goshen. The new Mrs. Miller is employed at Holiday Inn in Warsaw. The couple is residing on First street in Milford. Reception-buffet to honor summer . playhouse company The Enchanted Hills Theatre guild will host a reception-buffet for the Enchanted Hills playhouse company on Sunday. July 13 The event will be held from 5 p.m toB p.m. in the club pavilion at South Shore. Entertainment will be presented bymembers of the playhouse company and the orchestra. The company members are looking forward to greeting personally those who are increasingly supporting the playhouse each season They would also like a chance to express their gratitude for the support they have received in past seasons to various members of the community. r OBSERVING M YEARS OF MARRIAGE — Mr. and Mrs. Lyle W. Seiffert of r 2 Syracuse are observing their 58th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 8. They were married in Goshen on that date in 1125. Mrs. Seiffert is the former Hilda Maraviov of the Ligonier community. At the time of their marriage Mr. Seiffert was a Chicago resident. The Seiffert s. who formerly operated a mosaic tile business in this area, will be honored by their three daughters at a family dinner this coming Sunday. Their daughters are Mrs. Eugene (Maryrose) Henning. Mrs. Barbara Hay and Mrs. Patricia Siri. all Syracuse area residents. The Seifferts also have 11 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Miss Kathy Horney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Homey of 1812 Lincoln drive. Warsaw, and Mark A. Workman of Fremont were married in a double ring ceremony on June 7 in the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Warsaw Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Workman of r 3 Syracuse. Father Horvath officiated for the 2 p.m. service. Musical selections were by Mrs. Don Hogan. She played the wedding song and “Our Father”. Given In Marriage Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in'-a gown of white silk organza and voile with imported Venice lace. The lace appliqued empire bodice was fashioned with a sheer yoke, high stand scalloped lace neckline and short sleeves. The A-line skirt, detailed with garlands of lace and a hemline wide band of voile, swept into a chapel length train. The laced edged bouffant waist length
matching veil of imported French illusion was caught to a Venice lace togue. i White roses, apricot carnations and babv breaths were the bride s chosen flowers. Mrs. George Kolopanis of Charleston. 111., served as matron of honor. Mrs. Bill Geist and Mrs. Al Figel. both of Fort W’ayne and Kai Richey of West Lafayette served as bridesmaids. They were gowned in floor-length, Aline skirts of apricot polyknit. The bodices were fashioned with flat muluffs with tie backs a Vneckline, with a copelet collar and tear drop sleeves. They wore apricot lawn hats. Flowers were white baskets with apricot and white daisies and baby breaths. The bride’s mother wore a gown of blue chiffon with Venice lace. The mother of the bridegroom wore a floor-length gown of yellow eyelet polyester and matching jacket. The corsages were orchids tipped colors of the gowns. Keith Strauss of Syracuse was best man. Ushers were Dave Horney of Warsaw and Ric Workman of Syracuse. Reception ® ( Mrs. Judy- Tietje and Teri 'Weber served cake at the reception which immediately followed the ceremony. The reception was held at the fairgrounds in the Shrine building. A band entertained from 3 till 9 p.m. A buffet was held at 5 p.m. Following a wedding trip to Clermont. Fla., the newlyweds will reside in Fremont. The bride, who was employed as a secretary, graduated from Warsaw high school and the International junior college at Fort Wayne. Her husband, a Wawasee high school and International junior college graduate, is a feed fieldman for Farm Bureau CoOp. Legion Auxiliary discusses special events June 24 The American Legion Auxiliary. Wawasee Unit 223; met in regular meeting on June 24 in the Legion hall. Business discussed included the Flotilla Ball. July 5 at the Legion hall, the Legion fair in August and other money making projects. An election of officers for 19751976 was held. Robert Wetzel. Rebecca is on the first list, indicating she has a semester grade-point average of between 3.75 and 4.0.
FAIR QL<EEN CANDIDATE — Cindy Holcomb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Migedt of r 4 Syracuse, is Miss Syracuse for 1975 in the Kosciusko county fair queen contest. Cindy will be a senior at Wawasee high school this fall, she weighs 115 pounds and is five feet, five inches tall, and has biondish brown hair. She is sponsored by the Syracuse Lions club.

» i * CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY — Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Heyde of 112 North Shore drive. Syracuse, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the lounge of the Bremen State bank on Sunday, July 13, from 2 p.m. to 5 p m. The observance occurred on October 1.1924 and a family dinner was held on October 6, 1974. All the family could not be present so the open house was scheduled for the July date. They were married in Bourbon by Rev. H. G. Pence. Hosting the observance will be their son and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Heyde of Bremen. Mr. and Mrs. Patil Heyde of Tulsa. Okla., and chilth-en. Keenan and Sybil: Rick Heyde of Chicago. III.: and Mark, Bill and Rita Heyde of Bremen, all grandchildren of the honored couple are expected to be present. All relatives and friends are invited to attend the open house. The couple requests no gifts.
Busy weekrfor skiiers from Wawasee This will be a remember week for members of the Wawasee Ski club. There will be snack and beverage party on Thursday. July 3. for members and all persons interested. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Bill Pipp residence at Syracuse Lake. Persons needing directions should call Pipps at 2 p.m. Anyone wanting to ski should take his equipment. The float committee should report to Melinda Ensinger’s. Members should contact those in charge before going over to work on towing the jump, in case plans have been changed. Debbie Giles placed second in jump in the women's division at the Spray Riders open recently.

TOPS has meeting The TOPS No. IN 106 club held its regular meeting Monday night in Syracuse. Anita Shumaker was the best loser for the month of June and received the "something white” gifts. Mrs. Jim Conder was the second best loser. The entire weight loss by the group for the month was 43 1 - pounds. Persons interested in losing weight are invited to join the group.
