Miller of r 1. was taken with three other youths to the Kosciusko county jail Sunday for allegedly driving a Toyota four wheel drive jeep on the fairways of the Wawasee golf course. Damage was estimated at from $1,500 to $2,000. The youths were apprehended w hen the vehicle became stuck in a ditch on the course. Kosciusko county potice patrolman Burdell Blackburn and state trooper Mike Barnett arrived on the scene as the foursome was attempting to dig the jeep out. Richard Neely Becker and Matthew A. Gross of Santa Fe. Calif., were held cm juvenile warrants. Miller and George Hardie of Goshen were held at the jail and charged with malicious trespassing > Drive-in day observed at Epworth Forest The annual “Drive-In” day at North Indiana Conference Woman’s Society of Christian Service School of Missions, was attended by about 1,300 at Epworth Forest. North Webster. “Building." the theme of the program, was presented in terms of const ruction of possibly a lakefront pier. The design was presented in pantomine and music. through colorfully costumed dancing workers dancing in through the entrance doors, on to the large stage. They danced and built words using large lettered blocks. The president of the group gave the opening prayer and introduced the speaker. Dr. Robert Hayes. He gave “The Pier Foundation." after reading “The Covenent.” Other speakers were .Anita Burrous. New Y’ork city; Rev. Yung Chen; and Mrs. Susan Dunkleberger gave the benedictation.

Aaron, the professional baseball player who broke Babe Ruth’s homerun record last year, was not able to make the festival because of his team’s schedule. Riggs is receiving a kiss from 1974 "Queen of Lakes” Terri Branson as North Webster 3»anker and Palace of Sports founder J. Homer Shoop talks into the microphone.
No injuries as car hits bump, pole No injuries were reported in a single car crash Sunday on SR 19. two miles south of Nappanee. Mattie Grimm. 26. r 2 Milford hit a bump, ran off the road and hit a telephone pole? The driver reported that her attention was distracted to children eating ice cream in her vehicle when the accident occurred. Deputy sheriff Roger Fellows investigated. Damage totaled S9OO to the auto and $75 to the pole. The power of religion is best promulgated by the unselfish example and noble lives of adherents.
