The market which is sponsored by the Kosciusko County Extension Homemakers opened Wednesday. June 18, on the Court House square with 13 producers selling fruits and vegetables, and eggs. Due to the overwhelming response the market will be held at the fairgrounds from now on according to Mrs. Lloyd Hively. chairperson. All products sold at the market must be produced in the county by county residents. No baked or processed foods are allowed due to health regulations and no antiques or used items are allowed. Fruits and vegetables, eggs, plants, herbs, cut flowers and handicrafts are allowed. All local residents are encouraged to visit the Farmers Market held each Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. at the Kosciusko county fairgrounds. Doug McClure stars in 'Land That Time Forgot'

To millions of youngsters — and oldsters — the world over, Doug McClure is “Trampas,” that hard-riding popular Western show, “The Virginian.” Originally, McClure intended to be a physical education instructor, but after appearing in a college drama society play he switched to an acting career. He is now to be seen* as a star of American International’s production of the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic, “The Land That Time Forgot,” which opens Friday at the Goshen Theatre. A Hollywood executive spotted him in an American TV commercial and signed him for the television series “Men of Annapolis,” in which he played a midshipman. More TV roles followed in “Overland Trail” and “Checkmate,” before ‘“The Virginian” made his name a household word. McClure’s first motion picture was “The Enemy Below” with Robert Mitchem and Curt Jurgens, in 1957. Since then his films have included director John Huston’s “The Unforgiven” with

Vandalism and theft reported at auction Aubrey Weisman, manager of South Shore Auction south of Syracuse, reported to the sheriff’s department Monday of a break-in at the auction site sometime after Saturday night and a number of items taken. Entry was gained by prying a lock off a rear door. Items taken included a combination tape player-stereo set and four speakers valued at $80; a hand cultivator, $25; and two lamps valued at SBO.
