Local ski jumping tournament attracts International champs

Water Ski. Inc . will conduct a water ski jumping tournament and boat show on its privately leased 38 acre lake on the north edge of Warsaw. The lake is located on the southwest comer of the intersection of SR 15 and US 30 bypass, behind Smith Goodyear Tire Center. On Saturday. June 21. Water Ski. Inc ~ will hold the Mastercraft open jumping tournament for area water skiers. This event will start at 9am and will run all day. The public is invited to attend free of charge

“Cash Award Tournament” On Sunday. June 22. Water Ski. Inc., will conduct the Mastercraft “Cash Award” jumping championships Invitations have been extended to all the top water ski jumpers in the world. These skiers will compete for a $3,000 purse and a bonus for the longest jump of the tournament. The event will start at 1 p.m and will last approximately three hours Tickets can be purchased iu advance at a reduced rate or can be purchased at the door. Children under student age will

county will be exhibiting boats under a large display tent at the tournament site. There will be a variety of boats on display to fit any boating enthusiast. There will also be skiing and other recreation exhibits.

Registrations being taken for camp

Registrations are still being accepted for Girl Scout camp Singing Hills near Middlebury, lb date 286 girls have registered for camp. Os these 142 are from Elkhart county, 56 from Kosciusko county, 33 from Noble county and 55 from Whitley county. There are openings for all sessions except the week of July 13 through 19, the fourth session of camp. Camp Singing Hills will open on June 22 for the first one week session. Other sessions begin June 29. July 6, July 20. July 27 and August 3. Registration is also open for the two week session July 20 through August 1. Theresa Arneson is returning as camp director this summer and has recruited a capable staff to assist her. The camp is also open to non-scouts. Brownies are eligible to attend. Girls from Indiana Lakeland had the opportunity of earning full or partial payment of camp fees by selling cookies this year. Girls who have earned credits are urged to submit their registration as soon as possible. Interest patrols will include
