Albert J. Berkey Albert James Berkey, 50, 1017 S. Fourteenth St., Goshen, father of Stephen Berkey of Syracuse and brother of Mrs Howard (Opal) Berkey pile of Milford, passed away at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. He apparently suffered a heart attack while watching television in his home. He had been ill about seven weeks with a heart problem Berkey was born in LaGrange county near Shipshewana on December 7. 1924 and moved to Goshen 24 years ago. Mr. Berkey was employed by Kropf Manufacturing company He was a member of the Bren neman Memorial Missionary church and veteran of the Korean conflict His widow, the former Patricia Perkins, whom he married on October 27. 1951. survives Also surviving are his mother. Mrs. Levi (Loretta Miller) Berkey, Middlebury; another son. Ricky, serving in the marine corps in San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Peggy) Winkler, Goshen and Miss Sherri Berkey, at home, three grand daughters, three brothers. Harley, Goshen. Elvon. Elkhart and Ora. Middlebury, and another sister. Mrs Melvin (Leola) Kauffman. Middlebury Burial was in the Violett cemetery Harry Crouch Harry Crouch, 91, r 1 Cromwell. father of Charles Crouch of r 2 Syracuse and brother of Mrs Fred Fidler of North Webster, passed away Weckiesday. illness. Mr Crouch was bom in North Webster on October 4. 1883. He spent his entire life in the Ligonier and Cromwell areas. He married Edna Stuckman in Warsaw on November 20, 1920. She survives. Crouch was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Tarman, New Paris and Mrs Ralph (Gertrude) Goseof r 1 Cromwell; six grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildrtxi Services were held Friday in Lagonier. Burial was in Sparta cemetery. Kimmell Fred Bettz A former Milford resident, Fred Bettz. 84. died in Zephyr Hills, Fla., on June 4. He will be remembered for his owning and operating the chicken hatchery on Emeline street while in Milford The building, which still stands, is located behind Campbell's Market and is now owned by that business Burial was June 6 at Chapel Hills Ralph Franklin Correll Services were held Saturday for Ralph Franklin Correll, 67. r 1 Pierceton A lifetime resident of Kosciusko county, death was due to an apparent heart attack and came at his home around 7 p m cn Wednesday. Mr Correll was born on December 26. 1908 in Kosciusko county, a son of Homer and Goldie May (Osborn) Correll. His marriage to the former Margaret VanAlstme took place in 1943
He was a retired farmer and member of the Eagles Lodge, Arie No. 1763. Ligonier. He is survived by his parents and wife, all of r 1 Pierceton. Interment was in North Webster cemetery. Mrs. Ruth Potts Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Ruth Potts. 79, sister of W’illiam A. Perry of Milford. Mrs. Potts passed away on Saturday. June 14. at a nursing home in Saint Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services will be held at the McGowns funeral home in Elast Chicago. 111., this week. Area persons will remember Mrs. Potts for her several visits to the Perry home in Milford over the past years. John Pamer John Pamer, 71, of Milford passed away Tuesday evening at 8:45 in the Alfran nursing home at Warsaw Death was caused by complications of a number of strokes Mr. Pamer was a former employee of Beers greenhouse in Milford and retired several years ago. He was born in 1903 in Hungary. He was united in marriage to Mary Rentz of Hungary on December 28, 1924 and came to the United States in April 1950 She preceded him in. death on April 25, 1969. Surviving are five sons, Paul of Germany. Lawrence of Sarasota, Fla., John. Jr., of New Paris and Mathew and Adam of Milford; one daughter. Mrs. Rose Puskas of Hungary, and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending Mrs. Ruth (Bollinger) Long Mrs Ruth (Bollinger) Long, 83, Millersburg, passed away Tuesday. June 17, in Goshen hospital at 1:50 p.m. Death was caused by complications of cancer. Mrs. Long was bom in Benton township February 1, 1892 to Rudolf and Martha (Hess) Bollinger She was united in marriage on February 15.1910 to Homer M Long in Saint Peter’s Luthem church and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1964. She was a member of the Saint Peter's Luthern church in Millersburg. Survivors include one daughter. Mrs. Madonna Ax. r 4

Bailey of North Webster is the mother of a daughter born Monday, June 9, at Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw. The young lady was bom at 2:13 p.m. and tipped the scales at seven pounds, 114 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clayton W. McMagon, Florida. MIKEL. Lee J. Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Roxy) Mikel of Milford are the parents of their first child, a son, bora on Sunday, June 15, in the Elkhart hospital. AT SYRACUSE JUNE 29 — The Joyous Sounds of Faith, an instrumental and vocal trio from Faith Baptist Bible college in Ankeny, lowa, will present “Refreshings" at Wawasee Heights Baptist church, Syracuse, on Sunday, June 29. at 7 p.m. The trio includes three young ladies: Melody Gray (sophomore) from Cambridge. Iowa; Sharon Richardson (sophomore) from Waverly, Iowa; and Victoria Skea (senior) from Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Their accompanist is Susan Obenchain (junior) from Caldwell, Idaho. A vocalist, Thomas Arnold, is traveling with the group. He is a graduate of the Class of 1975 with a BA degree in theology. The students will be accompanied by Austin D. Plew, director of development, who will present a brief description of the college and its functions. The program of sacred music includes a variety of hymns, anthems and gospel songs arranged for instruments and-or voice.’ The summer itinerary of the Joyous Sounds extends from June 14 through August 11 and includes churches and camps in Illinois.
