Roy J. Sellers Funeraf services were held Friday for Roy J. Sellers. 78. of Elkhart and father of Howard E. Sellers and Mrs. Loa Ann Dahl, both of Syracuse Death came at Elkhart hospital on Wednesday. Mr Sellers was born May 31, 1896 in Tiffin, Ohio, and was retired in 1961 from Elkhart Bedding company. A veteran of World War 1, his marriage to the former Loretta Griffin took place August 25. 1921 in Sidney. Ohio In addition to the widow and two Syracuse children, he is survived by three other sons. Marvin E.. Jesse L. and Charles b. all of Elkhart; two other daughters. Goshen hospital where she had been a patient for six days. Mrs Shively was born on February 18, 1900 in Illinois to Wesley T. and Josephine (Berry) Roberts She married Frank Shively on December 21, 1918. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1966. She was a member of the New Salem church >. Surviving are two sons. Max of r 1 Leesburg and Allen of Syracuse, one daughter, Mrs John (Ann Lou' Vance of r 7 Warsaw, eight grandchildren, and three sisters. Mrs Herman (Velma) Ginter of Lancaster, Ohio. Mrs Nellis Anglin of Leesburg and Mrs Joseph (Opal) Skoving of South Bend Six brothers, one sister and one grandson preceded her in death Rev Howard Kreider and Rev Chad Woodbum officiated at the services Interment will be in the Leesburg cemetery Lawrance A. Ky., on September 13. 1915 to Mr and Mrs William H Dixon Mr Dixon had resided in Kosciusko county since 1953. moving here from Lexington, Ky His marriage to the former Laura Venus Mann. who survives occurred on May 17, 1936 A retired employee of Warsaw Mating Works, Mr. Dixon was a member of the First Christian church of Warsaw and the Eagles Ixidge of Goshen. Surviving in addition to his widow are his mother. Ida Dixon Kerschner of Lexington. Ky ; one son. Howard E. Dixon of Syracuse; two grandsons. Bill and John Dixon of Syracuse; two brothers. Harold Dixon of Old Town, Md.. and Arnold Dixon of Dayton, Ohio; and three sisters. Mrs Ralph Wooster and Mrs Clyde Groves, both of Lexington. Ky., and Mrs James Hall of Warsaw. Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at a Warsaw funeral home and interment was in the Silver Lake cemetery. Joseph Bauman Funeral services will be held in the Apostolic Christian church at
Bremen on Thursday morning at 10 for Joseph Bauman. South Bend, who died on Monday afternoon in Memorial hospital at South Bend. Bauman lived in Milford for several years in the 1930’s and Worked' at Beer’s Flowers. He later moved to South Bend and opened a nursery business there He was married to the former Bernice Rassi of Milford. He was a native of Writtman, Ohio. Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs John (Theresa' Hemphill and Mrs. Carl (Deioris > Drawert and a son Max. all of South Bend. sl-S2B. disregarding an automatic railroad signal warning Michael Allen, r 3 Syracuse, $3-S3O. speeding 84 in a 55-zone ft $ 75 damage set in arson fire at Wawasee Golf Syracuse firemen responded to a call at 12:05 am. Saturday morning at Wawasee Golf club when it was discovered a fire was burning at the old barracks storage building nearby. The alarm was turned in by three passing motorists who in turn informed the club house and firemen quickly extinguished the blaze with about $75 damage. Jim Thompson, a cook at the club, r 1 Milford, rushed to the building and broke out windows sustaining hand injuries. He was taken to Goshen hospital for further treatment following treatment by Syracuse first aidmen. Fire chief Larry Weaver reported finding a 24 gallon gas can and a book of matches near the fire scene, and determined gasoline was used at the south end of the building to start the fire. FIRST AID RESPONDS Members of the Syracuse first aid unit responded to a call at the Gene Hill home near Syracuse at 7:46 p.m. Tuesday, however, treatment was refused when the unit arrived.
