K The Column H A Sideshow Os mH Events In Milford

IN FRIDAY morning's mail our bookkeeping department received a letter from the South Bend post office It contained mail which had been burned in the recent crash of an airplane contracted by the postal service to carry mail. Most of the load was lost in the fire, however, some of the mail was salvaged and forwarded The letter is burned and falls apart when touched. However, because parts of it are still readable our bookkeeping department was able to help the customer. So often we complain because of what the post office department doesn’t do This time we think they should be complimented for what they did do. They could have tossed all the burned mail in the rubbish, saying all was lost. BUD AND Myrtle Felkner of Milford were “double April fooled" last week. Seems Bud purchased three dozen eggs to take home, then made a slop at a Kale Island restaurant with the eggs in his car. Some of his cronies there saw a chance to have some fun. They switched the eggs for three dozen hard boiled eggs Bud was unaware of the switch and when he got home had his family help carry the eggs in the house. When putting them away Myrtle cominented that some of them were cracked She opened one to see if it was okay if they were "cracked." What do you know, hard boiled! She then checked several others and found them all to be hard boiled The Felkners have enjoyed many salads with eggs, deviled eggs and pickled eggs for a week now. They are about "egged" out. Needless to say. soft boiled, fried and scrambled have been missing from the menu. REMEMBER THE James Cecil family who resided in Our Town several years ago? They remember Milford! Mr and Mrs Joe Gerencser and family were vacationing in Florida over the recent spring vacation of the Lakeland schools and upon checking into the Davenport Ramada Inn were surprised when the lady who took their registration was the former Linda Cecil. Linda is now Mrs. William

Also in California are the Scotts' two daughters. Mary and Sue and their husbands and families. The letter states Mary and her husband Dave Bieber have a 15-year-old foster daughter.
