New Jehovah halh site for 0 forth coming assembly
Arrangements have been completed for the forthcoming semi-annual circuit assembly of Jehovah's witnesses to be held April 19-20 in Holt, Mich., at the beautiful new Jehovah’s Witnesses Assembly Hall Previously, arrangements were made for these semi-annual circuit assemblies to be held in local high school gymnasiums and auditoriums but, due to tremendous expansion and growth, the need developed for a permanent structure within easy access to which Jehovah’s Witnesses could hold these assemblies The location of this assembly hall is 1331 Eifert Road. Holt. This hall will sene over 200 congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses These congregations are divided into 10 different circuits, including a part of a . Spanish-speaking circuit. Each assembly will have between eight and 13 congregations attending The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., arranges the schedules Construction Actual construction on the hall began in November 1973. "progress reports" to the congregations and because these reports considered factual reports as to finances, individuals in the congregations responded by providing funds, each one according to his own heart and circumstances. This is based on a principle in the Bible at ,1 Chronicles 29:14. Training Sessions The building is used mainly for semi-annual two-day Bible training sessions Jehovah’s Witnesses and interested persons who attend with them are instructed in ways and means to best learn and apply Bible principles in their own lives; howto teach and preach publicly the Bible message for our day, namely, "the good news of God’s kingdom ’’ as now operating m the heavens and extending its righteous rule toward our earth and obedient mankind upon it; and how best to function as a Biblically directed congregation of Jehovah's Christian Witnesses. Where there is an open week end, special programs are arranged with guest speakers being invited from the world headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The auditorium seats 1,716. A kitchen and dining room are provided to serve meals for those attending from out of town and also to assist those who are in the full-time public preaching ministry. Rooming accommodations are provided by adequate public facilites near by. A baptismal pool is located on the stage Between 50 and 70 persons are dedicated each week as an assembly is held and their dedication is symbolized before witnesses by baptism in water The Syracuse congregation will be attending its assigned assembly on April 19-20. All interested persons are invited to attend No collections will be taken and seats are free
The basic purpose of the program is to alert the public to severe weather conditions, tornado watches and warnings, but will also be used to alert the public in the event threatening conditions develop from other natural disasters. During such times, Indiana State Police districts will broadcast a sequential two-tone frequency of 592.5 Hz and 802.5 Hz on the base station frequency of 42 420 MHz and 155 370 MHz which will automatically open up an alert receiver equipped to respond to these frequencies. The receiverscan be left m the mutealert condition 24-hours a day. and will respond any time an

alert broadcast is made. These receivers can also be manually placed in a monitor position in which case they will monitor all Indiana State Police broadcasts within range. Each week day at 10 a.m., the Indiana State Police will conduct a test to insure that the system is operating properly and to give those who have an alert receiver a chance to determine that their receiver is functioning properly. Regular monitor receivers will pick up the broadcasts but cannot be used in the mute-alert condition. Those wishing to own a receiver with the mute-alert capability should contact a local dealer selling police monitor radios and order a receiver with the following capabilities: Alert
