CHRISTMAS FIRE — The cabin on the Beer property located east of Milford near the greenhouse and flower shop was burned to the ground on Christmas day. Above are the remaining embers with the chimney alone remaining. The fire was burning out of control when the Milford fire department arrived at the scene. Lowell Beer of Indianapolis was staying at the cabin for the holidays but was away when the fire started.
