Sept. 11.1974 1 •- j > - DON LEE American Party candidate coming to Warsaw Thursday Don Lee. a native of Connersville, and a candidate for the US Congress on the American Party ticket, will be in Warsaw Thursday afternoon to greet voters of. this county. The announcement was made by Richard Ellison, county coordinator for candidate Lee. He appeared at the Kosciusko county fair in his first appearance in the county. Don was born in Connersville on January 16. 1940. He graduated from Southport high school in 1958. served two years in the US Army, and was honorably discharged. He is currently employed as a sheet metal die maker. Don has had wide experience in politics, serving as an elector for George Wallace in 1968. later becoming one of the founders of the American Party of Indiana, as well as attending the founding meeting of the. National American Party in 1969. Don was elected State Chairman in 1973 and also received the Liberty > Award from the Congress of Freedom that same year. Jehovah's Witnesses plan two-day circuit The Watchtower Bible and Tract society officially announced today its plans to sponsor a two-day circuit assembly for Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Whitley on September 28-29. Twenty-three congregations in north central Indiana and Ohio are being invited to attend this assembly and over 1,800 delegates are expected. The purpose of the assembly is to instruct the witnesses in their ministry and to aid them in applying Bible principles to the problems of our day. The program will include morning, afternoon and evening sessions devoted to Bible talks, discussions and demonstrationson carrying out the work of preaching and disciplemaking. There will be a baptism of new ministers on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon the advertised public address “What the Near Future Holds” will be given by R. P. Lovinger, district supervisor for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the tri-state area. All interested persons are welcome There is no admission charge and no collections are taken. First aid makes run The Syracuse first aid unit responded to a call at 3:36 Sunday afternoon at Merrill’s Marina, Syracuse, for Peter Hughes who passed out at the marina. A local physician was called and the man was taken to Goshen hospital. LAKELAND LOCAL Mrs. Tom Roderick and daughters Karen and Jennifer of Bloomington. 111., and Mrs. Bette Roderick of Peoria, DI., were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Motts of Milford over the Labor Day week end.
