at the home of their son and family. Also visiting with the Woodbums are Linda Glogauer and son Adam of Long Beach. Calif. Mrs. Glogauer is a sister of Pastor Woodburn Mr. and Mrs. Max Shively and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morehouse spent Monday and Tuesday at Columbus. Ohio, attending a REMC meeting Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rapp took their daughter Cindy to Ball State university on Sunday where Cindy is enrolled as a freshman. Mr. and Mrs. Don McManamon and daughters of Indianapolis were week end guests of Mrs. McManamon s parents. Mr and Mrs. Paul Schermerhorn and Doug. Mr. and Mrs. John Glaser and family spent Labor day week end with friends and relatives in Chicago. Mrs. Zona Deeter spent a few days with her daughter Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sands and children of Munster. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hurd.

Fire run made Friday A call was received from the office of the Farm Bureau insurance south of Syracuse at 11:33 a m. Friday fora grass fire behind the business, which started shortly after seeing youths playing with matches in the area. The youngsters ran from the .scene as fire started. No damage was reported as the fire was extinguished by Syracuse firemen.

Mrs. Robert Jones, librarian of the library, entertained the Northern Indiana Library Administrators Round Table at her Lake Wawasee home on Tuesday, Aug. 20. There were 25 librarians and two trustees, Phillip Fawley and Mrs. Vernon Beckman, both of Syracuse, in attendance.
