HERB MOREHOUSE | Sunday morning services held “I know where I’m going” was the beautiful song which was sung Sunday morning by Cindy Rapp, Denise Darr and Brenda Davis. They were accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Dale Morehouse. Pastor Woodburn delivered the morning message “The Christians Outlook” from II Peter 3. The evening message was from Galatians 5:7-12. Helping Hands meet at nursing home on Tuesday The Helping Hands met at the nursing home in Milford Tuesday evening for a short program. Mrs. John Plank led in the group singing. Mrs. Gerald Dausman read several poems. Mrs. Roscoe Kinney read the poem “My Git Up is Gone” and led everyone in the 23d Psalm. Rev. Chad Woodburn led in devotions and prayer. Mrs. Robert Hurd led in singing several children’s songs. The ladies then went to the church fellowship hall for their business meeting. Black cows, crackers and wafers were served by the hostesses Mrs. Dale Mock and Mrs. Frank Johnson to Mrs. Emory’ Stetler, Mrs. Edwin Meek, Mrs. Ray Ferverda, Mrs. Gerald Dausman, Mrs. Max Shively, Mrs. Glen Morehouse, Mrs. John Plank. August birthdays observed by Women's Day Fellowship The Women’s Day Fellowship met at a Warsaw restaurant on Wednesday to observe the August birthdays of several ladies. After the noon meal the group met at the home of Mrs. Dale Morehouse for the program. Mrs. Elsie Weybright gave the devotions, reading from I Corinthians 13:1-7 and also read a poem “Love Hopeth All Things.” Mrs. Bruce Baker led in prayer. Mrs. Russell Baker gave two articles “The Beer Business” and “What America Needs.” Mrs. Herbert Morehouse read two poems, “Friends” and “To Know All is to Forgive All,” Mrs. Edwin Meek read “I Wonder Why?” Mrs. Bruce Baker read “Dear Master.” Mrs. John Plank read “God’s Promise” and "Send Me.” The birthdays of Mrs. Russell Baker, Mrs. Bruce Baker, Miss Georgina Morehouse, Mrs. Herbert Morehouse, Mrs. Edwin Meek and Mrs. John Plank were observed. COMMUNITY NEWS Douglas Shively of Longview, Texas, has been visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Max Shively for two weeks. Doug spoke Thursday evening at the Living Gospel church at Nappanee, Sunday morning at the Bremen Community Gospel church and Sunday evening at the Troy church near Warsaw. Mr. and Mrs. Max Shively entertained Sunday afternoon with homemade ice cream and cake for the birthdays of Doug and Gary Shively. Enjoying the occasion were Mrs. Emmel Dye and Duane, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schaaf, Mrs. John Vance and Marcel, all of Leesburg; Allen Shively of Syracuse; Mrs. Inez Shively and Guy Fisher of Milford.
