Mrs. Ertis Wheeler Mrs Ertis Wheeler. 90, Ligonier, sister of Mrs Clayton Witmer. Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug 27, at 4 p.m at the Fountainview Place where she had been a patient for five months Mrs Wheeler was born on March 1.1884 at Ligonier and was united in marriage to Orlando Wheeler on April 29. 1906 at Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1957. Mrs Wheeler had been a lifetime resident of the Ligonier community, was a member of the Ligonier First Church of Christ. Eastern Star and WRC, both of Ligonier, and the Kendallville VFW Auxiliary. Surviving with the sister of Leesburg is one son. Maynard, Elkhart; three laughters. Mrs Robert Garber Constantine Mich . Mrs Ray (Marvel) Brockshmidt. both of Graytown. Ohio; one son, Ted. Graytown. Ohio; three grandchildren. and several nieces and nephews from this area. He was preceded in death by one son. Aug 27. at the Elkhart hospital where he had been a patient for the past 27 days Mr Sheets was born on May 10. 1909 to George S. and Nancy (Mast) Sheets He was united in marriage to Eileen Harman on November 16. 1929 and she survives Mr. Sheets was a retired farmer at the time of his death Surviving with the widow and son are two daughters. Surviving with the parents are maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Levernier. Milford, and paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs, Jack E. Mann. Warsaw. Maternal great-grandfather is Martin Levemier, Syracuse, and paternal great-grandparents are Mr and Mrs. E. F. Rydquist. Warsaw. Rev. Peter Eckert officiated for the services and interment was in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Jesse J. Spry Funeral services were held Monday morning for Mrs. Carrie E. Spry. 84. of 501 Front street. Syracuse. Death came Friday, of complications, at the Fountain View Place. Elkhart, where she had been a patient for over two years A resident of Syracuse for more than 30 years prior to admission at Fountain View, she came to this area from Jackson. Mich. Mrs. Spry was born March 24. 1890 at Columbus. Ohio, a daughter of Joseph and Samantha (Wildermuth) Bury She was married to Jesse J. Spry and he preceded her in death in January of 1949. Before his death, the couple managed the Wawasee Lumber company at Syracuse. Mrs. Spry was a housewife and member of Saint Andrew's United Methodist church at Syracuse Survivors include three daughters. Mrs. Paul (Vera) Sutton of Jackson. Midi., Mrs. William (Glenace) Kerfin. Syracuse, and Mrs. Neil (Vivian) Ottavi, Bristol; one son. Joe T. Spry of Mansfield. Texas; 13 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother. John Bury of California. Interment was in Syracuse cemetery. Gladys Hildenbrand Services were conducted at IQ: 30 am Wednesday for Gladys M Hildenbrand. 89. East Jefferson St., Warsaw, mother of Mrs Ned Gerard. Leesburg Death came at 10:30 am. Sunday at the Prairie View nursing home after an illness of several years. Mrs Hildenbrand was born on May 19.1885 in Harrison township to Martin and Minerva (Thomas) Sloan. She was united in marriage to George R. Hildenbrand on October 10.1906 at Etna Green. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1952. Mrs. Hildenbrand was a lifetime resident of the Warsaw area and was a member of the First United Methodist church of Warsaw. Leesburg, phsed away Sunday at 1:10 p.m. at the Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw. Mr Evans was born on May 22, 1902 to Clarence and Mary (Craig) Evans at Warsaw. He was united in marriage to Wanda Tompkins on April 24. 1926. He was a lifetime resident of the Warsaw area and was a member of the Eagles lodge. Surviving with the Leesburg sister is the widow; three daughters. Mrs. Stephen Osbun. Warsaw. Mrs Ray Young of Warsaw, Mrs. Blaine Havlin. Portage; three sons. Earl C.. Warsaw. Rev. He was preceded m death by one son and one sister Services will be conducted at 10:30 am. Thursday at the Chamness funeral home in Warsaw. Father Thomas N. The young man was bom at 3:17 p.m. and weighed eight pounds. 14 ounces. He was 204 inches long. He has been named Michael Donald. He was welcomed home by’ three sisters.
