Kristina Leigh Schopf Graveside services were held al the Syracuse cemetery Monday morning for Kristina Leigh Schopf, the stillborn daughter of Jack and Roberta (Rhodes) Schopf of Syracuse. The infant was stillborn on Sunday at Goshen hospital. In addition to the parents, survivors include the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Schopf of Syracuse and Mr. and Mrs Jack Rhodes of North Webster; and the greatgrandparents, Mrs. . Martha Rhodes of North Webster, Mr. and Mrs Donald Ringler of Leesburg. Aug 22. at the Elkhart hospital at 10 p.m. where she had been a patient for two days. Mrs Lehman was bom in Milford on March 24. 1907 and was united in marriage to Herbert T Lehman on June 9. 1928 Mrs Lehman retired m 1969 from Winter Stamping Company after 16 years of service Surviving with the husband is one son. Leonard A Death claimed Lowell B Leonard of Wakarusa last Wednesday Leonard. 69, a member of the Wakarusa town board and a former president of that board, died in the Elkhart hospital after being ill with cancer for one year Leonard was born in Milford on February 28. 1906

The deceased was a pharmacist. He operated a store in Wakarusa for a number of years then worked for Judd Drug stores. He retired in 1970. He was a member of the Wakarusa United Methodist church and the Masonic lodge. He is survived by his wife. LaVone. his mother. Two other children, a son and a, daughter, survive. Interment was at Cambridge Qty. Finley J. Butler Services were held Monday morning at Muncie for Finley J. Butler. 76, of Muncie and a summer resident for the past several years at Webster Lake. Death came Friday in the veterans hospital at Fort Wayne. Mrs. Helen M. Hoth Mrs Helen M Hoth, 67. 1310 South Tenth St.. Goshen, sister of Mrs Phyllis Miller and Mrs. Bettie Hare, both of Milford, passed away Tuesday. Aug 20. at the Goshen hospital. Death came at 3:13 p.m. after an illness of nine months Mrs Hoth had been a patient in the hospital for three weeks “ Mrs. Hoth was born on February 11, 1907 at South Bend and had been a Goshen resident most of her life. Murphy Charles L. Murphy. 53. Prairie View nursing home of Warsaw, passed away Sunday at 9:15 a.m. at Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw. Mr Murphy was a brother of Mrs. Robert Sopher, Leesburg Mr Murphy had been ill for a number of years. Mr. Murphy was born on August 14. 1921 to John and Catherine (Herlock) Murphy at Kokomo. He was united in marriage to Maxine Widmeyer on March 10. 1942 at Akron and she survives Mr. Murphy was an employee of Hoosier Home Improvement. Elwood, and was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God. Surviving with the widow and sister are one daughter, Miss Dorothy Murphy, Wabash; one son, Charles Aden, North Manchester; two grandchildren; six other sisters. Mrs. C. C. Tullis. Akron. Lawrence Murphy, Mentone, and John Murphy of North Webster; and several nieces and nephews Services were conducted at 10:30 am. today (Wednesday) with Rev. George Constance officiating Interment was in the Silver Creek Church of God cemetery Mrs. Mary Blauser Services were conducted at 1:30 Wednesday for Mrs, Mary H. Blauser. 79. a lifetime resident of Warsaw, and the mother of Gordon Blauser. r 2 Milford. Death came at 11:50 p.m. Sunday at Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw. She had been in failing health for several years. Mrs Blauser was born on September 24. 1894 to Henry and Dora Hartman at Warsaw. She was united in marriage to Harold Blauser in 1919 and he preceded her in death on February 20,1957. Surviving with the Milford son are five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers. Mrs. Charles Jessup Services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Mildred I. Jessup, 86, r 4 Syracuse, who died Saturday evening at Goshen hospital where she had been a patient for the nast five weeks. A summer resident of Lake Wawasee for the past 30 years. Mrs. Jessup spent the winters at Pompano Beach. Fla. She was born December 12, 1887 in Andrew county, Mo., and was united in carriage to Charles Jessup on December 21, 1907. He preceded her in death July 9 of this year. Mrs. Jessup was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Pompano Beach. She is survived by four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and one sister. A son, Charles, and a daughter, Margaret, preceded her in death. Interment was at Anderson. Mary Earnhart Mary Fredonna Earnhart, mother of Mrs. Leon (Bonnie* Newman of Milford, died Tuesday afternoon. She had resided at the Newman home for the past three months. Survivors include Mrs. Newman, two other daughters, three sons. 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Warner funeral home in Osceola. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 on Thursday Mrs. James Wills Services were held at 2:30 this afternoon (Wednesday) for Mrs. James (Helen) Wills. 63. of r 4 Waco drive. Syracuse. Mrs. Wills was found dead at her home Monday evening by her husband and deputy coroner Gary Eastlund of North Webster ruled death a suicide by carboy, monoxide poisoning from car exhaust fumes. The Syracuse first aid unit responded to the call Monday after which authorities were called. Mrs. Wills had just recently been released from Elkhart hospital. She was bom in South Bend on March 10, 1911. Her marriage to James Wills took place at South Bend March 25, 1938. In addition to the husband, she is survived by one daughter. E* OBSERVE 60th ANNIVERSARY — A family dinner was held August 7 at the home of Mrs. Frances Trimmer of Goshen, celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Merl Laughlin of Syracuse. The honored couple has three other children. Mrs. Robert Wiles and Dewey and Merl Laughlin, all of Syracuse; six grandchildren: 15 great-grandchildren: and one great-great-grandson.

Syracuse was admitted to the Elkhart hospital on Sunday. Aug. 25. where she is undergoing treatment and medication. She will remain a patient at the hospital the remainder of this week and is in room 270. Mrs. Charles Schell of Milford fell at her home on Saturday. Aug. 3. and broke her right hand and right pelvis bone. She was taken to the Goshen hospital where she was released August 13 and taken to the Alfran nursing home. Her room is 106. Betty Brammer, r 1 Syracuse, collapsed in her place of business, the Brammer Furniture store, at mid-morning Tuesday and was taken to the Goshen hospital in the city emergency unit. It was determined she suffered from exhaustion, and is now resting at her Lake Wawasee home.
