THE MAIL-JOURNAL Wed., Aug. 7,1974 Crusade for Christ * Aug. 11-18 Members of the Zion Chapel United Brethren church of Syracuse are sponsoring a Community Crusade for Christ August 11-18 at the Wawasee high school football field. Services will be held nightly at 7 p.m. with Rev. Sandy Pierson of Adrian. Mich., as speaker. On Sunday special music will be furnished by Phyllis Whirledge. Monday and Tuesday the Singing Avilias will be in charge of music and local talent will be used Wednesday. On Thursday Mary Jo Lundy, Fran Bowser, Wanda Mickly and Kay Harney of the North W’ebster Church of God will present musical specials and Friday the Gtod News Sensations of the Milford Christian church will sing. Special music for Saturday, youth night, will be provided by the Positive Side from the Fort ’ Mayne Bible college. On Sunday, Aug. 18, music will be provided by the BushongFirestone quartet. Jefferson's budget set at .0065 The proposed budget for Jefferson has been set at .0065 according to a legal notice published elsewhere in this issue. The levy will raise $2,033 for the township fund during 1975. The current levy is eight cents. Four cents is being charged in the township fund, one cent in the poor relief fund, three cents in the library fund for the total eight cent levy. The proposed budget is signed ’ by trustee Charles Mikel. It will receive final approval on August 27 when the advisory board of the township meets with the trustee. LAKELAND LOCAL Mrs. F. R.
