She has worked as a lab assistant Milford Pony League ends 1974 season The Milford Pony League ended its season Saturday on a losing note by dropping both tourney games at Syracuse They lost to Syracuse 16-2 and North Webster 114 Earlier in the week they defeated Mentone 144 and lost to Pierceton 12-0. The A team ended the season at 2-16 and the B team at 2-3. The following boys participated in the program this summer: Andy Brown. Todd Grove. Roger Hawn. Bobby Nordin, Jay Kaiser, Brian Hartman. Final league standings are given this week in ball game action at Syracuse in the majors, minors, and T-ball. Finals in T-ball will be tonight (Wednesday) followed by coaches vs minor all-stars Thursday night and the major tourney finals on Friday. Wawasee ski club plans August show

During a meeting of the Wawasee Ski club held last week, plans were made for a water'ski thrill show on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 6 p m., with rain date set for 2 p.m on Sunday, Aug. 11. Discussion was held on trophies received and points scored in the first place win at Pike Lake in the open tournament. Last week end, 30 of the Wawasee skiers went to the Indiana state finals at Pike Lake in Warsaw, providing the group with another club trophy. Starting on August 10, the local club will be offering special complimentary memberships at reduced rates for the remainder of the summer to entitle persons to learn to ski or improve their skiing skills, attend an AWSA sanctioned ski tournament and participate in the local Labor Day ski show.

Results are given for summer leagues

Results have been given for the summer leagues at Milford and are as follows: Sox 11 Cards 1 The league leading Sox defeated the Cards 11-1. The Sox were led in hitting by Brett Grove. Ernie Morris was the winning pitcher. Twins 16 Tigers 7 In the first tourney game the Twins eliminated the Tigers 16-7. The Twins were led by Jim Salazar who knocked in four runs. Garry Bray was the wanning pitcher. Sox 5 Reds 2 In a very well played game the Sox defeated the Reds 5-2. Ernie Morris was the winning pitcher, holding the Reds to only one hit. Girls Softball In girls softball the Braves finished their regular season with a 9-2 victory over the Pirates. Renee Lindzy and Martha Salazar led the Braves in hitting. Milford, was also arrested and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct He was fined $lO with costs of $24 on each count and ordered to report to juvenile officers on Wednesday Miguel Orta, 24, 520 S. Brookfield. South Bend, was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and assault and battery. He was fined $lO on each charge with court costs of $24 on each charge for a total of $102.00. He was taken to the county jail far non payment of fine. Alfaiiso D. Set Records Club member Bud Roby took a first in tricks at the Warsaw event, and set a new state trick record with an 840 trick run. Also setting a new state jump record and taking a first at the meet with 85-feet was Joe Goebel. Both were in the junior girl and boy divisions. Other final trophy winners in slalom, junior girl-boy division were John Goebel, second; Bud Roby, third. In tricks, John Goebel, second; and Bob Goebel, third. Bud Roby, Karen Brown, both placed second in jump, and Bob Goebel was third. In B-Boys division. Jeff Fall took first in slalom and Mark Stinson placed second. Dave Ensinger took third in tricks in the boys division. Mark Stinson placed first, Jeff Fall and Debbie Giles, second, in jumps. Debbie Giles placed third in slalom for women.

Heavy action over week end at Maxwelton golf course

Pro Bob Auer reported several tourneys were! held at the Maxwelton golf club over the past week end. The father and son tourney was on Sunday as was the father ancTdaughter tourney and a scramble was held on Friday night. Winning the Friday scramble were Bob and Jinny Seward and Bud and Alta Doughman; Scrappy and Elly Graff and Bud and Eydie Kline; and Gary and Nancy Baker and Rick and Carolyn Baker.
