Conservation officer Money suffers fatal heart attack

Syracuse Lake He had suffered several heart attacks, the most recent in February of this year, however, had returned to his duties as a conservation officer and death was unexpected Born in Jay county on August 13. 1915, he was a son of R Earl Money, Sr., and Roma (Arnold) Money. He had resided at Syracuse since 1959. moving from the Peru area A state conservation officer of district two, he had also served in Clinton. Wabash and Miami counties, over the 32-year period with the department He was a member of the federal mission. department of interior; Elks of Peru. FOP of Warsaw; the police league of Indiana; the Hard Water Riders Snowmobile club of Syracuse, and a Red Cross instructor for a number of years His marriage to the former FYedetta Mirgon took place at Portland on February 29, 1936. and she survives. . Mrs. Thelma Little Mrs Thelma Little, 56. 317 West Smith St. Warsaw, mother of Mrs Stanley (Janet) Hamman. r 1 Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, July 16, at 11:30 a.m. at the Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw She had been in failing health for the past year. Mrs. Little was born on January 9. 1918 to Clarence and Bertha (Holcomb) Fenner at Bronson. Mich. She was united in marriage to Phillip Little on May 28. 1971 and he survives. Mrs Little was a member of the First United Methodist church of Warsaw, the Elkhart Moose lodge. Warsaw Square Dance club and was a secretaryreceptionist at the Lake City bank in Warsaw Surviving with the husband and daughter are her mother. Mrs Qarence Fenner of Bronson, Mich.; one other daughter. Mrs. William (Laurel) Shoemaker, North Webster , two sons. Ralph Luce. North Webster, and Lowell Luce, Winona Lake; eight grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Ivan Luce. Bronson. Mich. Rev Leroy Wise officiated for the services at 1 p m Friday with interment in the Mock cemetery at North Webster. Emory Gene Stiffler Funeral services were held Saturday for Emory Gene Stiffler. 40, r 1 Pierceton and a native
of Syracuse. Death came of an apparent heart attack suffered at his home around 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Born near Syracuse on October 23, 1933, he was a son of Chester and Mary (Coy) Stiffler. A resident of the Syracuse-North Webster communities all of his life, he was married November 16, 1970 to Lu Grader of North Webster and she survives. He was employed with Northern Indiana Public Service company. Warsaw district. A veteran of the Korean conflict, he was a member of the American Legion post 253, North Webster; and the Syracuse Church of the Brethren In addition to the widow, he is survived by two Syracuse brothers. Roy and Glenn, both of r 3; two step-children, Mrs. Michael Stevens of Pierceton and HaroldGreider, Milford; and two step-grandchildren. Interment was in North Webster cemetery. Mock addition, with full military graveside services Mrs. Floyd Gallahan Services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Isa Gallahan, 87, of Mexico and mother of Harold Gallahan of Syracuse Death came Saturday at Duke's hospital at Mexico. She had been in failing health for the past four years after being involved in an auto accident Born at Mexico, she was a lifetime resident of that community. A housewife, she was united in marriage in 1914 to Floyd Gallahan and he preceded her in death seven years ago. She was a member of the Brethren church at Mexico. In addition to the Syracuse son, she is survived by four other sons; one daughter; and a number of grandchildren. Interment was at Mexico. John F. Schoeff Services were held Thursday for John F. Schoeff, 96, r 2 Huntington, father of C. L. (Ted) Schoeff of r 2 Syracuse. A retired Huntington county farmer and member of the Zion United Methodist church, he was bom on January 8,1878 to George and Matilda (Goodmiller) Schoeff. He married Bertha Smith and she died in 1927. He was later married to Lettie Lee and she preceded him in death July 13, 1971. In addition to the Syracuse son, he is survived by five other sons. Christy, John, Ernest and Eldon, all of Huntington. and Dwight of Muncie; three daughters. Miss Mildred Schoeff and Mrs. Russell (Zelda) Alford, both of Huntington, and Mrs. Guy (Betty) Fulhart of Andrews, 20 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services were held at Huntington with burial in Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Charlotte Robinson Services were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. Charlotte Robinson, 69, East John St., Nappanee, a former resident of Milford. Mrs. Robinson passed away at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Elkhart hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. Mrs Robinson was born October 28, 1904 to Charles and Clara (Leatherman) Price at Milford. She was united in marriage to John Robinson April 7, 1925 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1970. She was a member of the Nappanee First Brethren church and the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include one son, John R.. Sputh Bend; two daughters, Mrs. .Sam (Lois) Bowyer of Homestead, Fla., and Mrs. Gary (Martha) Grieger, South Bend; eight grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; four brothers. Russell Price, Nappanee. Everett and Glen Price, both of Milford, Robert L. Price, Elkhart; three sisters. Mrs. Melba Rensberger and Mrs. Elmer (Flossie) Hartter, both of Milford, and Mrs. 'Maurice (Thelma) Crow, Syracuse. Rev. Alvin Shifflett officiated for the services with interment in Violett cemetery at Goshen. Sheldon Marion Gross Sheldon Marion Gross, son of Marlin and Angela (Blanchard) Gross, 318 North Lake, Warsaw, was stillborn Monday at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne at 6:55 p.m. I Sheldon is survived by his parents and one sister, Greta Marie, 13 months; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Gross, r 7 Warsaw; maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Blanchard, r 2 Warsaw; paternal great-grandmothers, Mrs. E. Mishler. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a m. at the South Whitley cemetery with Rev. Lester Young officiating. Mrs. Elva Archer Mrs’ Elva E. Archer, 89. r 4 LaGrange, a summer resident of Waubee Lake, passed away Sunday afternoon at the LaGrange County hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks Mrs. Archer was bom on March 26. 1885 in Noble county and was united in marriage to J. T. Arche- in 1904 and he preceded her in death in 1936. She was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist church of LaGrange. Survivors include three sons, Roy, Goshen, Stacey of Ligonier ahd Cecil of Benson, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. George Richards and Mrs. Gerald Eash, both of LaGrange, and Mrs. Aihzie Dunithan, Elkhart, 24 grandchildren, 55 great-grand-children; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Flora Buffenbarger, Cromwell. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) with Rev. Henry Miller and Everett Haines officiating. Interment was in Osborn cemetery west of LaGrange. i Ora H. Benson Services will be held Friday morning for Ora H. Benson, 77, 531 South Main street, Syracuse Death was due to complications and came at 4 am. this morning (Wednesday) at Goshen hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks Mr. Benson had been in failing health since last winter and had undergone surgery about 10 days ago at the hospital. He was born in Wabash county on February 4.1897. a son of William and Mary (Buzzard) Benson He was a retired school teacher, having taught in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties for 25 years. Mr Benson had resided in Kosciusko county since 1915. He was united in marriage on April 23,1920 at Leesburg to the former Celia A. Jones, and she survives. In addition to the widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Mary) Stiffler of Syracuse and Mrs. LaMar (Dene) Lindenman of New Paris; one son.

The young man was bom at 3:34 p.m. and tipped the scales at eight pounds, five ounces. Maternal grandfather is Wade Morrison of Milford and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Craft of Prestonsburg. Ky. RETZ, Terry Daniel Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Retz. Leesburg, are the parents of a son. Terry Daniel, born Thursday, July 18. at the MurphyMedical Center in Warsaw. Terry was born at 7:05 p.m. and tipped the scales at six pounds, 10 ounces and measured 19 1 ? inches long. He was welcomed home by one brother, Alan, nine.
