L. <Bud> Kline might be able to help. A quick call to Bud proved • eventful and the pair was last seen <with Bud astride the older* heading toward the south part of town Since the Pearl street city parking lot has been biacktopped. it is being well used. Prior to its being blacktopped. it was used on a so-so basis. Clif Poole is still looking for his two ponies that were either stolen or strayed from his barnyard southeast of Syracuse He said the Angus heifer, missing at the same time as the ponies, has returned. "It was in a woods." he said. Cliff says his SIM reward still stands. Sam was not available for a briefing of golfing results so we do not know the outcome. Golfers they were when seven local Lions participated in the annual International Lions club state tournament last week at Frankfort and walked away with honors The low net trophy was given Syracuse for the best four scores out of seven, giving the local boys first place team honors for the slate. Adding to that, Jay Brouwer took low net honors. Others participating were Merl Smith. Ron Vestal. Bob Knutson. Paul Rush. Jay Miller and Jim Tranter. This is the first state championship won by the Syracuse Lions club Congratulations! Why a Ship is "She” Why is a ship a "she"? Why not a "he"? Or even an "it"? The question is one that has long puizled not only landlubbers, but seafarers, it is really more a matter of euphony than sentimetality? At any rate, one marine paint supplier gives this version in its current house magaxine:

Finally, she has as many tricks and teases as any woman, and it lakes a very capable man to handle her properly." Spain, recently, they were dining in a popular hotel restaurant, only to look across the room and see Dr. and Mrs. Robert Berryman, also of Warsaw. Bob Ellison is on the KCH board of directors and Dr. Berryman is director of the Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw, the result being that both men have not become the very best of friends. Ellison is president of the American Brattice Cloth Corp, in Warsaw, and Mrs. Ellison beads the foreign language department of the Warsaw Community school. Ross claims to be fighting a one-man battle to keep the cost of beer down, and his Fatotaf. Old Crown. Fall City and Pabst is moving like the proverbial hot cakes. A deep gouge in hardwood furniture or flooring can be repaired by applying a damp cloth to the surface and briefly pressing a hot iron (such as a screwdriver) against the cloth. The process makes the wood fibers expand, and rise up to fill the scratch or dent.
