Officers elected at annual Bashor Auxiliary meeting The annual meeting of the Bashor Home Auxiliary, Inc., was held Monday morning. June 10, in Arbogast Center at the home in Goshen. Garden remarks were given by Mrs. Vernon May and health and safety was given by Mrs. Irene Hollar. Susan Ball, Robert Stouder wed in double ring ceremony

Susan Marie Ball and Robert C. Stouder were married during a double ring ceremony held June 8 at Barbee Community church. Rev. Bryce H. Foster officiated The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sandra Ball. North Webster and Solomon Ball. Syracuse The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Mabie Stouder. Syracuse and the late Robert Stouder. Organ selections were presented by Mrs Louis Gee. The couple was married before an altar adorned with white candles, a memory candle, baskets of white fuji mums and pink carnations. Bride Given The bride, given in marriage by her grandfather, Lester McGriff, wore a gown of chiffon over peau de soie with accents of anlecon lace and irridescent seed pearls. The gown was styled with full hooped skirt and sweeping chapel train. The fitted lace bodice featured a sweetheart neckline with re-embroidered anlecon lace and irridescent seed pearls The long sleeves ended in bridal points over her hands. Her elbow length veil was secured by a scalloped tiera of lace and seed pearls. She carried a nosegay of pastel colored daisies. Miss Anita Ball, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Home Arts club meets in home of Mrs. Johnson

The Home Arts home ec club of the Milford area met for their June meeting in the home erf Mrs Dorothy Johnson. Syracuse. The meeting was held last Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. She was assisted byMrs. Harry Martin of Milford. Dessert was served to 14 members and one guest. Mrs Doral McFarren. Mrs. Ross Fadley received the napkin favor The birthday of the vice president. Mrs Donald Holt, was honored. All sang "Happy Birthday” to her. The meeting was called to order by the president. Mrs Earl Naegele. The song of the month “I Enjoy Being a Giri” was played and discussed. Mrs. Holt read an appropriate poem on "Father’s Day.” l Mrs. Johnson explained and displayed book markers to be used as devotions. Mrs. McFarren read two impressive poems which are favorites in her family, “Walking with the Lord.” and "Because of Friends Like You.” Mrs. Raymond Cook completed the lesson on know your heart for the health and safety lesson. Bethany club elects officers The Bethany extension homemakers club enjoyed a carry-in meal at noon last Thursday at Bethany Church of the Brethren, with 18 members and two guests present. The two guests were Mrs. Percy Troyer and Mrs. Lee Poyser Mrs. Virgil Dowty presided at the meeting. Devotions were given by Mrs. Bernice Mauzy. Mrs. Ethel Grubb led in the singing of the song of the month. Mrs. Herbert Blue accompanied the song on the piano. Roll call was answered by “cooking as a bride.” A poem entitled “Don’t Wait” was read by Mrs. Oma Brown. Mrs. Mauzy presented the health and safety report on first aid. Mrs. Charles Ragan gave a lesson entitled “The care and feeding of house plants.” A special interest meeting will be held June 18 to discuss plans for the club’s booth at the county fair. It was announced that the bake sale has been postponed until sometime in July. Mrs. Molly Richards gave the health and safety lesson and Mrs. Arden Leiter discussed the proper way to grow lima beans. The citizenship report on “State Recognition” was given by Mrs. Ragan. BPW holds year end event, install officers

The Syracuse Business and Professional Women’s organization at Syracuse met at the scout cabin on June 11 for their last meeting of the club year, at which time a ham dinner and salad bar was held. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Robert Swager, Mrs. Robert Houser, Mrs. Joseph Beghtel and Mrs. Chester Elder. The business meeting following dinner was opened in usual form and plans discussed for the forthcoming Flotilla. Members of the Goodwill Extension Homemakers club at Syracuse met last Wednesday afternoon at the House of Friendship with 17 members responding to roll call of “Come as you were.” Mrs. Blanche Kline was installing officer for the installation of the following: President — Mrs. Robert Busch Vice president — Mrs. Fred Butt who was absent and not installed Secretary — Mrs. Ray Darr Treasurer — Mrs. Eldred Mabie The meeting opened in usual form with group singing of “Amenca the Beautiful” and song Sisters-in-law are honored at double shower Mrs. Wayne Bucher and daughter Cindy of Dewart Lake entertained at a double baby shower on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Bucher home for Mrs. Harry Burleson of Saint Joseph, Mich., and Mrs. Jeff Dippon of r 3 Syracuse. The honored ladies are sisters-in-law, Mrs. Burleson being the former Judy Dippon. Games were played by the 21 persons who were in attendance.
