By BONNIE BJELLA Beginning on June 1, children in grades one through five may enroll in the Summer Reading club at the Syracuse library, and children are urged to enroll early to get a good start with the program. The theme this year will be “Book Parade.” At the close of the reading club on August 14, youths having read only one book will receive a ribbon, or a ribbon and a reading certificate for reading 10 or more books. An added feature this year is the “Book Tree” in the children’s department. Each child enrolled will find a tiny book hung on the tree with his or her name inside to show each has enrolled in the club. Today (Wednesday, May 29) is the last day of the story hours for this season, and they will resume again in the fall. New books continue to arrive so the reading club children will have many nice new books to choose from, as well as the old favorites.

T"* Worship b .: With Us EHonWUson Minister Abraham Lincoln once said: “I am profitably engaged in reading the Bible. Take all of this book upon reason that you can and the balance by faith, and you will live and die a better man." The Bible has been given to us at a great price. Within its pages everyone who has searched it thru, has found the answer to their life. Why not pick up the Word of God and let it speak to your heart today. The words of Scripture will comfort and strengthen you as no other words or book can do.
