Your support was greatly appreciated. Anne Troup President of Silver Thimble club CARD OF THANKS We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to our many friends in Milford and the surrounding communities for the lovely way in which they shared in our golden anniversary through their beautiful cards and messages. We are very happy that we decided in 1932 to make the friendly little town of Milford our future home. Royce and Alyce Fuller Driver cited following crash A Syracuse driver, Bonnie Steffen, 17, r 1 Syracuse, was cited for following too closely after being involved in a threecar mishap at 10:13 Friday evening at West Pike near Main in Goshen. The accident occurred as Miss Steffen, eastbound on Pike street, rammed the rear of a stopped 1974 Volvo operated by Carolyn Hertzler, 48, Goshen. The Volvo was then pushed into a third auto, a 1970 Simca, driven by Lori Strycker, 16. Goshen. Junior high school girl burned Tuesday Workers in charge of the annual “MAD day” chicken barbecue at Milford will have to make other plans for dumping hot coals next year, it would appear. This year the coals were dumped near the back of the Milford junior high school, where the barbecue was held, and a Milford junior high school student, Julie Garza, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Garza, was burned when leaving the gym via the back door for physical education classes on Tuesday. When she stepped on the coals the young girl's tennis shoes were melted and her socks burned, leaving numerous blisters on her feet, according to a statement made this morning by Mr. Garza. The concerned father hopes the coals will be dumped elsewhere in the future to save others from perhaps even more serious burns.
