Guest speaker to be at the Gospel church

Rev. Richard Wurm brand, who spent 14 years in Romanian Communist prisons, will be guest speaker on two separate days this month at the Gospel CentoMissionary church, 930 30th street, South Bold. He will speak at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3, and at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. Rev. Roy Severance at Milford UM Rev. Roy B. Severance, director of development, Missions to the Cumber lands, will speak at the Milford United Methodist church on Thursday, May 2. There will be a carry-in dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. The Missions to the Cumberlands are projects of the United Methodist church, National Board of Missions, in southeast Kentucky Red Bird Mission, Henderson Settlement and Mountain Missions at Jackson, in the mountainous Applachian region, are represented by this work. Mr. Severance, a native of Vermont, went to Kentucky in 1968 after serving at Christ church in New York city. He was appointed to his present post after serving one year at Henderson Settlement. All are welcome to share in this evening of fellowship and learning. Old time revival set at Pentecostal church An old time Pentecostal revival has been set for May 2-5 at 7:30 each evening at the Syracuse Pentecostal church. Located at 201 South Harrison street, Terry Fleetwood is pastor of the church and extends a welcome to all to attend. Evangelist for the revival is Jerry Duke of South Bend.
