Mrs. Anna Markham Mrs. Anna B. Markham, 92,112 Canal St.. Goshen, mother of Mrs. Floyd (Martha) Manges, Dewart Lake, passed away Tuesday. April 23. at the Goshen hospital where she had been admitted a short time before. She had been in failing health for the past year. Mrs. Markham was born on July 25. 1881 at Brecksville, Ohio, to James and Adliza Seeley. She was united »n marriage on March h 1899 to Byron Markham at Boston, Ohio. They moved to Goshen in 1915 where Mrs. Markham was a member of the World Wide Church of God. Surviving with the husband and daughter of Dewart Lake are four other daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Eva) Rassi, Mrs Gladys Gonderman,. Mrs. Charlotte LeCount. all of Goshen, ami Mrs. Elmer (Lettie) Cripe. Mission, Tex.; 22 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight children. Services were conducted by George Affeldt at 1:30 pm Friday with interment in the Elkhart Prairie cemetery. James Anderson Services for James Allen Anderson, 36. Fort Wayne, a former Pierceton resident, and a brother to Mrs. Robert (Lois* WTutacne, Leesburg, were conducted at 1:30 Friday with Rev Chester-* Reed officiating Anderson passed away Tuesday, April 23, at Fort Wayne. Warsaw, father of Mrs., Robert (Cathy) Barth, Leesburg, passed away Wednesday at 1:50 pm. at the Murphy Medical Center. He had been ill for the past three weeks. Death was attributed to cancer. Mr. Cox was bom on January 28. 1925 at Montpelier. Ohio, to Lloyd E. and Luella (Todd) Cox. He was united in marriage on March 3,1946 to Joan Ann Grant at Montpelier. Ohio. Mr. Cox had been a Warsaw resident for the past 20 years, was a machinist for DePuy. Inc. , and was a veteran of World War 11. Surviving with the widow and daughter are two sons, Michael and David, both of Warsaw; one other daughter, Mrs. Doug (Patty) Moore. Warsaw; four grandchildren: his parents; one brother, Lavon, Montpelier, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Richard (Kathleen) Boyd, Montpelier. 6hio. Services were contfeicted at 1 p.m Saturday with Rev. Peter Eckert officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery. Raymond Eltzroth Raymond Eltzroth. 63, r 3 Syracuse, was found dead this morning (Wednesday) at 5 a.m. by' his wife at their Syracuse home. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Eltzroth had been ill since November of last year. Mr. Eltzroth was bom on January 1. 1911 to Mr. and Mrs. Ira Eltzroth at Marion. He was united in marriage to Florence Bundy on September I. 1934. He had been a Syracuse resident for the past 12 years and had been a resident of Marion and Illinois before moving to Syracuse. He worked as a pressman for Barger

Packaging Co. in Elkhart. Surviving with the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Jay Nagele. Pine River. Wis., Mrs. Wenzel Pruitt. Milford. Mrs. Larry Tacker, Indianapolis; six grandchildren: one sister, Mrs. George Crabb. Marion; one brother. Cecil Eltzroth. Marion. Services will be conducted at the Diggs funeral home in Marion and interment will be in the Gardens of Memory cemetery in Huntington county. Other funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time. Mrs. Grace Kathrine Miler Mrs. Grace Kathrine Miller, 45, r 1 Middlebury. stepdaughter of Mrs. Goldie Stewart of Milford, passed away Tuesday, April 30. at the Goshen hospital at 8:10 a.m. Death came from complications of surgery. Mrs. Miller had been a patient in the hospital for two weeks and had been ill for seven months. Mrs. Miller was bom on May--17, 1928 to William J. and Kathrine Stewart in Jefferson township. She was united in marriage on June 15, 1946 to George Samuel Miller and he survives. She was a member of the First Mennonite church and the Oak Lawn Auxiliary. Surviving with the husband and stepmother are three daughters. Mrs. Marvin (Georgia) Yoder and Mrs. Elroy D. (Glenda )„ Miller, both of Goshen. Miss Gina Marie Miller, at home; three sons. Galen J. and Gerald L., both of Middlebury, Gordon R., at home; five grandchildren; one stepsister, Mrs. Sadie Gurrie. Denver, Colo. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the First Mennonite church in Middlebury with Rev. Samuel J. Trover officiating. Friends may call at the Yoder-Culp funeral home. Interment will be in the Grace Lawn cemetery. Births WALLS. She has a two-year-old brother, Travis Alan. Tiffany Michelle, born on Saturday, April 27. at Goshen hospital. Tiffany has a three-year-old sister, Jolie Ann. DARR, Jennifer Kay Mr. and Mrs. Danny Darr of Knightstown are the parents of their first child, a six pound, eight and one-half ounce daughter, Jennifer Kay, bom at 8:58 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, at Knightstown. He is convalescing at his Syracuse home. Ken Bower of North Webster was admitted to the Whitley County hospital at Columbia City late last week. Fae Cook of North Webster was admitted to the Whitley County hospital late last week. Robert Neth of North Webster was dismissed from the Columbia City hospital late last week. Eunice Haskins of North Webster was admitted to the Whitley County hospital over the week end. Mrs. Joe Gray and daughter of Syracuse were dismissed from the Columbia City hospital over the week end. Walter Carroll of Leesburg was admitted to the Whitley County hospital at Columbia City early this week. Robert Neibert of North Webster was dismissed from the Columbia City hospital early this week. Litigation between KCH and Murphy Medical terminated Kosciusko Community Hospital, Inc., and Murphy Medical Center, Inc., announced jointly today that all litigation existing between them and members of their organizations will be terminated immediately. Simultaneously, it was also announced that Eldridge Sheetz and Loren Kruger, two citizens of Kosciusko county who are plaintiffs in six law suits filed against the Hospital Authority and members at the Hospital Authority of Kosciusko County, have agreed to dismiss all six actions in view of the overall settlement and compromise worked out between them and the members of the Hospital Authority and between Kosciusko Community Hospital, Inc. and Murphy Medical Center, Inc. In the settlement agreement Murphy Medical Center, the Samuel C. Murphy Memorial Foundation, Kosciusko Community Hospital, Inc., and the other 20 citizens of Kosciusko county who were defendants in the law suit in the Marshall circuit court have agreed that they will not in any way directly or indirectly interfere with the operation of any facilities or business of Kosciusko Community Hospital, Inc., Murphy Medical Center, Inc., or the Samuel C. Murphy Memorial Foundation or with the current construction, expansion or remodeling plans of Kosciusko Community Hospital, Inc., Murphy Medical Center, Inc., or the Samuel C. Murphy Memorial Foundation or the financing thereof. Murphy Medical Center’s administrator, Robert A. Berryman, stated that the board d directors of Murphy Medical Center, Inc., and of the Samuel C. Murphy Memorial Foundation had approved the settlement agreement. Similarly, Milton Holmgrain, administrator of Kosciusko Community hospital, announced that the board of directors of Kosciusko Community hospital had approved the

settlement. All of the parties involved have pledged that they will work for the continued fulfillment of the health care needs of the citizens of Kosciusko county and hope that they have buried the hatchet for the first time in many, many years, thus, paving the way for continued progress in the health care field in Kosciusko county. Tax statement deadline " Stamping and mailing of tax statements began today (May 1) according to Kathryn Teel. The following areas will not be mailed May 1: Turkey Creek township. Wayne township, Warsaw, Tippecanoe township and Harrison township. Mrs. Teel states she hopes to mail statements for Turkey Creek and Wayne townships the first of next week and the rest of the statements by the last of the week. The deadline for paying taxes will be May 25. Mrs. Teel urged all taxpayers to please bring tax receipts when they pay their taxes. A new system is being used this year. The complete set of receipts will be sent to the taxpayer. Prior to this year, the one copy was kept on file at the courthouse. Precinct committeemen name election boards in Van Buren

The six precinct committeemen of Van Buren township have named their election board for next Tuesday's election. The boards in the three precincts which will be voting at the Masonic temple. Our Lady of Guadalupe church and the Milford fire station are as follows; Precinct I Republican precinct committeeman Harold Young has named Edith I. Baumgartner to serve as inspector at the Masonic temple. Mrs. Art- (Charlotte) Wise will serve as judge. Mrs. Parker (Violet) Phend will serve as clerk and Mrs. Dean (Mary Ann) Dowty will serve as sheriff Democrat Dan Levernier has named Mrs. Clayton (Faye) Hollar as judge.
