Cecil Paul us. treasurer of the Wawasee Boosters organization, has issued the following report on spending the SBBS received by the organization this year: Expenses $17.80, Booster buttons $l4O. basketball blazers $250, girls awards $l5O and $25 each to the boys wrestling program, girls gymnastics, girls Harley Chalk heads Dewart Lake Ski club \ An organizational meeting was held last week end of the Dewart Lake Ski club with Harley Chalk being elected as president Other officers are as follows: Vice president — Tom Spearman Secretary-treasurer — Mrs John L. (Barbara) Miller Assistant secretary — Mrs. Doug (Louise) Golden Board of directors — Don Bucher. Doug Golden and Kim Slocum The club is planning shows on Father’s Day. the 4th of July and Labor Day. On July 13 and 14 they will host the Pike Lake Open water ski competition tournament at Warsaw The third annual Indiana state show tournament will be held at Dewart Lake on August 10. The club will also sponsor a queen in the Mermaid Festival in June.

Fairfield’s Drudge posted a 78’ 1” in discus for first place with Sheperd and X Harris, both of North Webster, coming in second and third places, respectively. Simpson. Miller of Fairfield recorded an even 7’ for top honors in pole vaulting and Fairfield’s Trover was second. Drudge. F. posted 33' 9” in shot put followed for second place by Tim Harris. NW. and W’ogoman. F, in third. Troyer’s time of 20.3 took top place in the 120-yard hurdle for Fairfield. Clawson, F, was second and Fidler, NW, third. Fairfield’s Clawson recorded 8.1 in the 60-yard dash. Da usman and Miller, both of Fairfield came in second and third. North Webster’s Mort took top honors in the 880-yard run with a time of 2:45.8. Second was Kelly, F, and third, Waugh. NW. Caudill, NW. was first in the 220-yard dash with a time of 28.7. Hammaker, NW, was second and Clawson. F. third. Mock. NW, posted a time of 73.4 for first place in the 440-yard dash. Second and third went to Fairfield’s Stutzman and Kelly, respect ively. Hammaker, NW, had a time of 12.7 for first place in the 100-yard dash Caudill, NW, was second and Da usman. F, third. Fairfield took first in the 880yard relay with a time of 2:10.6 and North Webster was timed at 2:21. A time of 62.4 was recorded for North Webster in the 440-yard relay and Fairfield was disqualified.

team crushes Warsaw 71-34
By SANDY GERENCSER The girls track team crushed Warsaw Monday night at Wawasee. 71-34. The meeting was executed during a continuous rain. The Warriorettes placed first in every event but one. The girls have now qualified in 12 events for sectional. Two new school records were set during the meet. Vicki Wilson raised the mark in the high jump to s’3’’. Bev Berghom jumped 16 6V4” to set the new long jump record Willa Detwiler took first in the 80 yard hurdles with : 13.1 and Roz Long placed third. In the 100 yard dash, the only event in which Wawasee didn’t place first. Wilma Detwiler and Barb Yoder respectively. Roxann Auer won the 440 yard dash in :69.8 while Roz Long came in third. Benji Hall and Marie Kitson were first and second in the 880 yard run; Benji won with a time of 3:00.8. Wilma Detwiler placed first with :28.2 in the 220 yard dash; Tammy Schumn was fourth. Winning the shot put was Peg Beer vrith a distance of 36'V and Judy Moser finished third. Barb Brouwer took first in the softhall throw as she pitched the ball 1747”; Judy Moser and Betsy Williams were second and third respectively Placing third were Tammy Schumn in the high jump and Peg Beer in the long jump. The 440 relay team of. Bev Berghorn.; Willa and Wilma Detwiler and Barb Yoder placed first as it clocked :54.6. Winning with a time of 1:56 was the 880 relay team. Members of the team were Bev Berghorn, Angie Mock. Peg Beer and Willa Detw iler. The 880 medley relay team — Barb Yoder, Debbie Miller, Karen Moore and Lisa Bosstick — ran a time qf 2:12.3 to win.
Warriors champs in relays By SANDY GERENCSER The Wawasee track team copped the championship in class A of the 22d Rochester Relays after trailing by one point as it entered the last event. The 'Winamac Warriors had a 55-54 edge going into the mile relay. Wawasee's mile relay team of Tim Hammon. Chad S’ngrey, Ralph Reiff and Jeff Bohnstedt sailed around the track to place second behind Bremen and break the school record The squad earned nine valuable team points to give Wawasee the victory with a score of 62. Chad Singrey was the sparkplug of the relay team as he zipped from fifth place after the first lap to first place. Winamac, which finished fourth in the mile relay, won second place in Class A with 59 points. Other team scores were:
Bremen 48. Plymouth 43. Manchester 42. Whitko 10 and Rochester 9. In Class B competition OregonDavis won first with 65 points The Triton Trojans were second with 61. Several Warriors exhibited their best performances at the Rochester Relays Monday night. Doug Shock placed second in the mile run, but he still set a new school record as he clocked 4:44.3. Mark Reiff captured first in the shot put. with a personal best of 51’1V\ Chad Singrey won the high jump at a height of 67”. Chad was Wawasee's highest scorer, scoring 10 points. He just missed being high scorer ,of the meet by one point, a Winamac athlete had 11. Finishing second in the long jump was Ralph Reiff. Mike Vanlaningham was fourth in the high hurdles with a personal best of :16; he was one-tenth of a second off the school record. Mike Wollman placed third in the shot put. The 880 relay team of Uvi Carvajal, Ralph Reiff. Dan Walker and Jeff Bohnstedt finished second. Also placing second was the sprint medley team. It was composed of Chad Singrey, Jeff Bohnstedt. Dan Walker and Mike Vanlaningham. / The shuttle hurdle team placed / third and displayed a best time of , :49 3. Members of the team were Jerry Yoder. Tim Yoder. Rick Bauman and Mike Vanlaningham. The distance medley team \ came in fifth. The team was made up of Tim Yoder, Toby Popenfoose, Steve KrSh and Doug Shock. The two mile relay team — Ralph Carvajal. Toby Popenfoose, Steve Kroh and Tim Hammon — finished fifth. | The Warriors returned with a large beautiful trophy for their fine achievement.
