Sanford Mullet receives MS degree MONTEREY, Calif — Navy lieutenant Sanford A. Mullet, husband of the former Miss Nancy L. Stump of 712 S. Huntington street, Syracuse, has graduated from the naval postgraduate school here where he earned a master of science degree in computers systems management. The school is fully accredited and confers bachelors, masters and doctors degrees in a variety of scientific, engineering and management fields. United Telephone to re-classify Syracuse rates
United Telephone Company of Indiana, Inc,, with headquarters in Warsaw, today announced that it has filed a petition with the Public Service Commission of Indiana requesting reclassification of the firm’s Syracuse exchange. The proposed reclassification is subject to the approval of the Public Service Commission of Indiana. This action is being taken in order to maintain a nondiscriminatory rate structure between exchanges of equal size. A “rate group” for an exchange is determined by the number of main telephone stations that can be called on a local or other tolFfree basis. When this number
Respond to fire, first aid calls
Syracuse volunteer firemen responded to a call Saturday, April 20, at 10:57 a m. for a woods fire at the Carl Hadley farm south of Syracuse and reported by Fred Young. It was thought it originally started with a brush fire near the woods earlier. The first aid unit responded to a call at El-Ko Mobile home park early Sunday, April 21, far Tim Emby who became very ill/First aid was given and he was accompanied to the hospital.
