THE MAIL-JOURNAL Wed., April 3,1974 By DORIS HOLLAR "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 I believe having faith in God gives us peace with Him and in our hearts, also. I know many times in my Christian life, it seems as though my faith is dwindling, maybe there’s a problem or things aren’t working out as planned, and it seems as though the devil is right there to try and defeat me. Theli is when our faith has to have a firmer hold on ijs. If we lose our faith in Him. we have lost our peace and happiness, too. I have learned, this in many a trying time, in my own experiences! We must have faith in Him and praise the Lord we can, if we let Him into our hearts and lives!! Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for giving us the kind of faith that gives us peace in our hearts and lives. Even though sometimes we may falter on the way, it is so good to know that you’re there; and if we are firm in our faith and belief, we can pick up the pieces and continue on the right path to you in heaven. Amen. Revival at Milford Chapel April 5-6-7 Revival services will be held at the Milford chapel, located on south Main street in Milford, at 7:30 p.m. April 5, 6 and 7. Jacob Schrock of Hicksville, Ohio, will be speaker for the meetings. The public is invited to attend. Lenten services in Syracuse community Father Richard Ohlemacher will present the sermon for this Sunday evening at 7:30 at the Syracuse Church of the Brethren. Special music will be by the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel Singers. Good Friday services are scheduled for 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren on Main street. Special music will be by Jeff Farrell and Calvary United Methodist church. Sunrise services at 6 a.m. on April 14 will be at Calvary United Methodist church with music by the Calvary combined choirs with Robert Jones as director. Rev. David L. Hyndman will deliver the sermon. Special services at Nazarene church Rev. and Mrs. Orville Eleven, evangelist and singers, will be the guest workers at the Syracuse Church of the Nazarene at the corner of Benton and Harrison streets, April 7-14. The real event took place some L9OO years ago when over the cross of Jesus there was writtan an inscription ia three languages: Hebrew, Latin and Greek. For multitudes of people that inscription has never been translated into English. It is still Greek to them.
