THEMAIL-JOI RNAL Wed.. Mar. 27, 1974 By JOY FOX “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away’ behold all things are become new.” II Corinthians 5:,17 Yes. wrhen we accept Christ, we are fully and completely changed. We don’t do or want the things we once wanted. But the world is a more beautiful place in which to live, and our hearts and motives are changed towards Christ. He completely sustains us, our needs and all that life holds dear to us. We put our trust in Him and we fully know that Jesus will take care of us, whatever we may face in life. It takes a lot of faith many times to look up and still know that Christ still lives, and lives in our lives, and know that Jesus never fails! Prayer: We do thank thee dear Lord, for thy wonderful example of life and of life everlasting. We acknowledge that Thou dost keep us under Tljy almighty and wonderful wing and power. Lord, grant us strength for each new day and help us to live ever close to thee. Amen. Two Catholic deacons to ’ be ordained NOTRE DAME - John S. Korcsmar, CSC, Olmstead Falls, Ohio, and Thomas F. Lemos, CSC, Carmel, Calif., are among seven deacons, graduates of the University of Notre Dame and former students at Moreau seminary there, who will be ordained into the priesthood in the congregation of Holy Cross in Sacred Heart church at Notre Dame at 2 .p m. on Saturday, April 6. The ordaining bishop will be the Most Rev. Lawrence L. Graner, CSC, former archbishop of Dacca, Bangladesh. Father Korcsmar has been working with the Spanishspeaking people in the GoshenPlymouth areas. Father Lemos has also been involved in work with the Spanish-speaking people. Revival services . at Baptist church Rev. Norman Sharbaugh will conduct revival services this week, except Saturday, at the Wawasee Heights Baptist church and Pastor Cooper has extended an invitation to the public to attend. , A school teacher and pastor, he now gives himeself to full time evangelism, and is from Indianapolis. Service time is 7 p.m. fbougbfc From The Living Bible I waited patiently for God to help me; then he listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog . and the mire, anc set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. He given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things he did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in him. Many blessings are given to those who trust the Lord.
